He was born in B\u00f6blingen, Landkreis B\u00f6blingen, Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, Germany. In 1888, he founded the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dinkelacker\">Dinkelacker Brewery<\/a> in Stuttgart, Germany, and by the end of the 19th century, it was the largest brewery in town. In 1996, it merged with Schwaben Br\u00e4u, which is also located in Stuttgart to create <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dinkelacker-Schwaben_Br%C3%A4u\">Dinkelacker-Schwaben Br\u00e4u<\/a>, but in 2004 was acquired by InBev. More recently, it again became an independent family-owned\u00a0company in 2007, called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familienbrauerei-dinkelacker.com\/brewery-en.html\">Dinkelacker-Schwaben Br\u00e4u GmbH &amp; Co. KG<\/a>. Unfortunately, there\u2019s not much biographical information I could find about Carl.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/49446519701_91ce3b1152_c.jpg\" alt=\"carl-dinkelacker\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Here\u2019s a short history of the brewery from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hobbydb.com\/marketplaces\/hobbydb\/subjects\/dinkelacker-brauerei-brewery\">Hobby db<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The brewery Dinkelacker is a Swabian brewery. It was founded in 1888 by Carl Dinkelacker in T\u00fcbinger Strasse in Stuttgart, where even today a brewery of the company is located. The founding was a challenge as there were already many established breweries in the area at that time. However, the brewery withstood the competitive pressure, so that it was one of the largest breweries in Stuttgart at the end of the 19th century. The annual production in 2013 was approximately 600,000 hectoliters.<\/p>\n<p>In 1994, the actually competing breweries Dinkelacker and Schwaben Br\u00e4u opened a joint logistics center under the name Dinkelacker-Schwaben Br\u00e4u Logistik (DSL) . In 1996, Dinkelacker and Schwaben Br\u00e4u merged to form Dinkelacker-Schwaben Br\u00e4u AG in order to be able to survive in the increasingly difficult market.\u00a0In 2003 InBevexpanded to the German market. The company\u00a0took over the beer division of the Spaten-Franziskaner-Br\u00e4uGmbH,\u00a0which was also the majority shareholder of Dinkelacker-Schwaben Br\u00e4u AG. Thus,\u00a0Dinkelacker operated from October 1,\u00a02004 to December 31,\u00a02006 under the umbrella of InBev.\u00a0Since 2 January 2007 Dinkelacker\u00a0together with Schwaben Br\u00e4u under the name Dinkelacker-Schwaben Br\u00e4u GmbH &amp; Co. KG\u00a0is again an independent family-owned company.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/49446519746_7d2f4dfe5f_z.jpg\" alt=\"dinkelacker-wagon\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The brand has been available in the U.S. off and on over the years, including being served at the New York World\u2019s Fair in 1964.
