Positions open include one-year and three-year terms for independent growers and handlers, as well as alternate seats. Candidates for grower positions must submit a petition signed by 15 independent almond growers, which will be verified by ABC.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/agnetwest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/02-14-25-Almond-Board-of-California-Board-of-Directors-Elections-has-Commenced.mp3\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em> Almond Board of California Board of Directors Elections has Commenced<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Almond Board of California Calls for 2025 Board of Directors Candidates<\/h3>\n<p>Election cycle begins Friday, Feb. 7 asking candidates to declare by April 1<\/p>\n<p><strong>(ABC\/MODESTO, CA\/Feb. 6, 2025)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 The 2025 election cycle for the Almond Board of California (ABC) Board of Directors launches on Friday, Feb. 7 with the call to all potential candidates to file their intent to run by April 1, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>A one-year and a three-year seat are open to represent independent growers in the 2025-26 crop year, and a one-year and a three-year seat are also open to represent independent handlers. Alternate seats for those positions are open, as well. Voting starts April 21 and ends May 22.<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for an independent grower or alternate seat, candidates must be a current grower and must submit a petition signed by at least 15 independent almond growers, which ABC will verify. Independent handler and alternate candidates must declare their intention in writing to ABC.<\/p>\n<p>All details, documents, open positions, the election timeline and deadlines, and frequently asked questions can be found at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.almonds.com\/elections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Almonds.com\/Elections<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>All petitions and declarations must state the position for which the candidate is running and\u00a0be sent to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/agnetwest.com\/almond-board-of-california-board-directors-elections-commenced\/mailto:abcbodelections@almondboard.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">abcbodelections@almondboard.com<\/a>\u00a0or printed and mailed to ABC, 1150 Ninth\u00a0St., Suite 1500, Modesto, CA 95354. The deadline for all filings is April 1.
