Some interesting stats from Accounting Today’s “The Year Ahead” survey for 2025:<\/p>\n

  1. \n

    69% of firms expect revenue growth<\/strong> of at least 4% in 2025, with 24% anticipating double-digit growth.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Firms say they want to increase advisory work<\/strong>, but they’re actually spending less time on it (31% versus 35% last year) and more on compliance work.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Just over half of firms plan to hire<\/strong> in 2025, but they expect to hire only half as many people compared to 2024.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    62% of firms now refuse to hire fully remote<\/strong> employees<\/strong>, which is a 10% increase from last year.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    60% of firms expect to increase their IT spending<\/strong> in 2025, up from 50% in previous years.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    Technology<\/strong> now consumes about 21% of firm budgets. And some larger firms spend 30% or more of their budget on tech!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  7. \n

    Only 23% of firms currently use AI tools<\/strong>, though about one-third are exploring these technologies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
