RL HUBER \u2013 MEMORIES OF FALLING<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I had never heard of RL Huber <\/em><\/strong>before until I heard this album, which \u2013 according to BandCamp \u2013 is his second album (in four months: Animam Edere<\/em> was released in December 2023). That is, if you check his Bandcamp page as RL Huber<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 there\u2019s also a RyanHuber<\/a><\/strong><\/em> Bandcamp page which seems to be the same artist. The difference: the latter is heavily beat-oriented, while the \u2018RL\u2019 music is far more cinematic ambient.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m afraid I can\u2019t tell you much more about his background, either, apart from that he is inspired by artists like Ryuichi Sakamoto<\/em>, Max Richter<\/em>, and Anna Thorvaldsdottir<\/em>. These influences can easily be heard in the music of Memories Of Falling<\/em><\/strong>: this music would have been a perfect soundtrack to a movie about \u2026 about what exactly?<\/p>\n

As Ryan Huber<\/em><\/strong> explains himself: \u201cI started working on it after having a series of random dreams and then having memories (?) that may have been dreams. I\u2019ve attempted\u00a0to \u201csoundtrack\u201d the experience.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

So, let\u2019s simply leave it at that: this is a perfect soundtrack to dreams and memories that may have been dreams.<\/p>\n
