In my humble opinion, the Toddy is one of the best cocktails ever created.\u00a0 It\u2019s simple, easy to make, and warms your soul in more than one way.\u00a0 As you know, I love finding new ways to introduce different flavors into classic cocktails, simple twists that end up creating a whole new drink.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been thinking about this one for a bit \u2013 a warm Hibiscus cocktail that also has a bit of kick.\u00a0 When I was working on this cocktail, I was thinking about the flavor of agave that comes through so beautifully in Patron silver \u2013 bright, fresh and crisp.\u00a0 Lemongrass and Hibiscus were the two flavors that initially came to mind \u2013 and I fully admit that I was probably influenced by the beautiful 2018 Patron 1-Liter bottle <\/a>design!\u00a0 The flavors of agave mix well with the sweet flavor of the tea, and the addition of green chili liqueur adds spice with an additional layer of vegetal flavors that compliment the tequila itself. <\/p>\n

These are guaranteed to be on repeat all winter long in my house, and hopefully yours as well.\u00a0 Cheers!<\/p>\n

Hibiscus-Lemongrass Tequila Toddy<\/u><\/b>
\nMakes One Drink<\/i><\/p>\n

1-1\/2 oz Patron Silver Tequila \u2013 Limited Edition 2018 1-Liter Bottle
\u00bc oz Green Chili Liqueur
\u00bd oz 1:1 Simple Syrup
\u00bd oz Fresh Lime Juice
3-4 oz Hibiscus-Lemongrass Tea<\/p>\n

Build in a mug, and garnish with a lime slice, a stalk of lemongrass, and a tea leaf.<\/p>\n

\nFor the Tea:\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

1 three-inch Piece of Lemongrass
\u00bc cup Hibiscus Whole Leaf Tea<\/p>\n

Chop the lemongrass into \u00bd inch pieces.\u00a0 Add to a teapot with the hibiscus tea and add hot water.\u00a0 Steep for three to four minutes, or until the tea is of the desired strength.\u00a0 Keep warm until ready to serve. <\/p>\n
