Initially, three victims were found deceased at the crash site, and the remaining seven bodies were later recovered. The names of the victims were released by the Alaska State Troopers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>\u201cThe bodies have been recovered and brought to Nome where they were positively identified by Alaska State Troopers,\u201d Alaska State Troopers stated. \u201cThe bodies will now be transported to the State Medical Examiner\u2019s Office in Anchorage for autopsies.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On February 8, 2025, NTSB Board Chairman Jennifer Homendy visited Alaska to provide updates on the investigation, noting that there are no leads in the investigation at this time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we get the wreckage, we\u2019ll be able to evaluate the different systems on the aircraft, including any sort of anti-icing system,\u201d Homendy said during a brief conference seen by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaskasnewssource.com\/2025\/02\/09\/following-fatal-bering-air-crash-ntsb-chief-arrives-alaska-assist-with-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Alaska\u2019s News Source<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-3\"\/>\n<p>The accident comes just a week after a collision between an American Airlines aircraft and Black Hawk Helicopter over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). There were 64 passengers aboard the aircraft and three soldiers in the helicopter, with no survivors.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"cnvs-block-posts cnvs-block-posts-1739188896818
