Continue reading to find out how following this principle helped me build my dream career.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aiming-for-no-less-than-excellence\">Aiming for no less than excellence<\/h2>\n<p>For me, setting the highest standards means consistently aiming for excellence and growth, pushing boundaries further, and continuously improving in everyday activities.<\/p>\n<p>Setting the highest standards for yourself is about striving for personal growth and self-improvement in all areas, whether maintaining a healthy lifestyle, cultivating meaningful relationships, or pursuing your passions outside work.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It also means holding yourself accountable for your actions, even when no one is watching. Therefore, I always try to do my best and proceed with self-motivation, a growth-focused mindset, resiliency, and positivity. Currently, I steer the SEO strategy for diverse markets together with a team of 5 specialists.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There were challenges on the way, but aiming for ambitious goals, like establishing the internal link strategy for Hostinger landing pages within one year, helped me build resiliency and gain valuable experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-key-to-exceptional-results\">A key to exceptional results<\/h2>\n<p>Following this principle is useful for both the organization and its employees. By continually striving to improve, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/blog\/hostinger-financial-results-2023\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"follow\">Hostinger stays ahead of the competition<\/a> and adapts to changing market dynamics. Furthermore, raising performance standards encourages team members to push their limits, innovate, and explore new ideas to achieve even better results.<\/p>\n<p>Following the highest standards demonstrates the company\u2019s commitment to delivering the best possible experience to its customers. For this principle to become a norm, organizations must foster a culture of openness, constant learning, and improvement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I mean that company leaders must consistently demonstrate behaviors and attitudes that reflect the highest standards. Leading by example is immensely important because it would be unfair to expect high standards from the team when the leader is not showcasing the same commitment level.<\/p>\n<p>By demonstrating a relentless pursuit of excellence, you inspire your colleagues to raise their own standards and strive for greatness in their work. That\u2019s one of the reasons why this principle is so emphasized in our organization \u2013 it helps everyone grow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At Hostinger, emphasis is also put on celebrating achievements and acknowledging excellence. This helps to support the pursuit of high standards and motivates others to aim for better performance.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-high-standards-built-on-accountability\">High standards built on accountability<\/h2>\n<p>Accountability is a must when setting the highest standards in practice.<\/p>\n<p>Accountability is the main drive behind taking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/blog\/principles-ownership\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"follow\">ownership<\/a> of our actions and decisions. It also allows us to address issues promptly and effectively. To promote accountability, leaders must provide guidance and support while trusting their teams to take initiative in pursuit of excellence. At Hostinger, all these components of setting the highest standards are strongly supported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But you can\u2019t forget transparent communication \u2013 it is no less important in establishing the highest standards and accountability. Always\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Obviously, it is not always easy to maintain the highest standards for yourself and others. I see that people often want to stay in their comfort zone, and some might think that standards are too high or unreasonable. You should resist these inner and external voices and focus on personal growth.<\/p>\n<p>There have been situations where others thought that my standards were too high. But I think the point is not to compare yourself with others too much but to focus on doing your best in your own context and situation, leveraging your unique strengths and abilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is important to set high personal standards based on your individual goals and aspirations rather than external benchmarks or peer comparisons. That is when high standards bring the most benefits, empowering you to constantly step out of your comfort zone and truly reach your full potential.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The highest standards are not something to be afraid of but something to embrace, celebrate, and encourage. They help nurture our best qualities and set us up for growth and success.
