<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nMARKUS GUENTNER \u2013 KONTRAPUNKT<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\nEver since his first releases \u2013 Regensburg <\/em>in 2000 and In Moll<\/em> in 2001 \u2013 Markus Guentner<\/a><\/strong><\/em> has developed his own personal style: \u2018deep, atmospheric and textured music, characterized by subtle but intense arcs of harmony and melody\u2019<\/em>. That style is the connecting factor on his recent Kontrapunkt<\/em> <\/strong>release, even if all of the eight tracks were created in collaboration with different artists \u2013 each bringing his\/her own style to merge with that of Guentner.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\nIt is an impressive group of artists he worked with: you\u2019ll find collaborations with Joachim Spieth, Karen Vogt, Sonae, Pepo Gal\u00e1n, Arovane, Beno\u00eet Poulard, Abul Mogard, <\/em>and Hollie Kenniff<\/em>. A list that guarantees quality in itself, but each track on Kontrapunkt<\/em><\/strong> demonstraties that 1+1 can be more than 2.<\/p>\nEach track has its own identity \u2013 widely cinematic, angelic voices, sub-level pulsating thumps, overwhelming layers, dub-techno, drones\u2026 but still the album as a whole is very consistent.
