March 8, 2023<\/time>\n <\/p>\n<\/header>\n\n <\/a><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\nWhat do the terms \u2018access\u2019 and \u2018Accessibility\u2019 mean to you? How do you imagine expanded access to VoCA\u2019s programming?<\/p>\nVoCA recognizes that there are always ways we can be and do better; we continually seek to improve accessibility and usability across our programs for current network members, as well as colleagues we have yet to meet.<\/p>\nFor this reason, we\u2019ve partnered with our colleague Haley Moyse Fenning<\/a>, who we first met when she attended the VoCA Artist Interview Workshop held at LACMA in 2020. Haley is a researcher and cultural producer who is pursuing her doctorate at the University of Sussex, with a focus on broadening access to the vital work and ideas of contemporary artists. When the Arts and Humanities Research Council offered her the opportunity to undertake a placement with an organization that she\u2019d like to contribute to, she immediately thought of VoCA, and we are so glad that she did. Haley is working with us as we dive deeper into what it means to expand access and accessibility for VoCA\u2019s existing network by gathering and analyzing feedback from network members, identifying areas for improved access & Accessibility, and supporting VoCA to articulate, develop, and implement our Accessibility efforts.<\/p>\nAs an important starting point for this research,\u00a0we want to hear from you<\/strong> about what comes to mind when you think about access, and how you imagine expanded access to VoCA\u2019s programming. We invite you to take a few moments to share your thoughts by completing our short survey<\/a>.
