Here’s why I want Michael Goldsby to talk to you and me. At the brewery. Ok, I’m bullshitting, I likely won’t show up. I’ve been hanging out in a brewery drinking beer for 18 years. It’s been so sweet and I love the way the brewery is and I may be entering a hermitage so I likely won’t be there XOXO. Ok, enough about me. What about us?

More about me. I’m tired of arguing over uncontrollables. Will my vote or ranting change the election? Wrong question. I fell into a trap of identity and society tricked me into that, with my unconscious consent. Is this getting too esoteric? How many places in your life do you accept only two options? Do you go to a restaurant that offers 2 menu items and say, ‘if you don’t order the burger and not the hot dog I hate you’. Fuck no. Or maybe yes, I don’t actually know you. Probably. I can tell you that it sounds like a shitty restaurant and I’m not going. Yet I did.

I don’t want to have that conversation any more. I want to give my energy to what I dream of, not what I hate or can barely tolerate. I want a restaurant operated by caring people who lead with love and a spiritual orientation toward reciprocity. Or a political system. Or Neighborhood, workplace, community. Yeah, now I’m feeling it. I feel the possibility when I share what I love, what I’m participating in creating. I feel full of joy and creativity when people share with me what they love and what they see as a beautiful future. I feel warm radiating energy from all of me when I see that what I want and what they want are often totally compatible, mutually reinforcing and totally possible. We’ve been duped into stupid, disconnecting conversations. As a regular acquaintance and local legend whom I’ve come to know through time at the public sauna says “Don’t be STUPID!” -Lord Byron Skyscraper

Are you ready to love your neighbor and have the conversation you really care about, not just pick a fight and walk away sad, angry, disappointed?

It seems to me that is what Mr. Goldsby is offering and I want to have that conversation. Er, host it at my business while I am at home cooking dinner and doing dishes then burning brush piles with a beer in one hand and a Stihl Miniboss in the other.
