These adjustments are made using publicly available exchange rate information from financial data providers to help make sure prices for apps and In-App Purchases stay consistent across all storefronts.<\/p>\n<h3>Tax and pricing updates for February<\/h3>\n<p><strong>As of February 6:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your proceeds from the sale of eligible apps and In\u2011App Purchases have been modified in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Azerbaijan: value-added tax (VAT) introduction of 18%<\/li>\n<li>Peru: VAT introduction of 18%<\/li>\n<li>Slovakia: Standard VAT rate increase from 20% to 23%<\/li>\n<li>Slovakia: Reduced VAT rate introduction of 5% for ebooks<\/li>\n<li>Estonia: Reduced VAT rate increase from 5% to 9% for news publications, magazines, and other periodicals<\/li>\n<li>Finland: Reduced VAT rate increase from 10% to 14% for ebooks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Exhibit B of the Paid Applications Agreement has been updated to indicate that Apple collects and remits applicable taxes in Azerbaijan and Peru.\u00b9<\/p>\n<p><strong>As of February 24:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pricing for apps and In-App Purchases\u00b2 will be updated for the Azerbaijan and Peru storefronts if you haven\u2019t selected one of these as the base for your app or In\u2011App Purchase.\u00b2 These updates also consider VAT introductions listed in the tax updates section above.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve selected the Azerbaijan or Peru storefront as the base for your app or In-App Purchase, prices won\u2019t change. On other storefronts, prices will be updated to maintain equalization with your chosen base price.<\/p>\n<p>Prices won\u2019t change in any region if your In\u2011App Purchase is an auto\u2011renewable subscription. Prices also won\u2019t change on the storefronts where you manually manage prices instead of using the automated equalized prices.<\/p>\n<p>The Pricing and Availability section of Apps has been updated in <a href=\"https:\/\/appstoreconnect.apple.com\/login\">App\u00a0Store\u00a0Connect<\/a> to display these upcoming price changes. All paid apps and In-App Purchases, (including game items, such as coins) sold by non-Japan-based developers on the App\u00a0Store in Japan will be subject to the platform tax regime. Apple will collect and remit a 10% Japanese consumption tax (JCT) to the National Tax Agency JAPAN on such transactions at the time of purchase.
