Pub Culture<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pub culture in the UK is an integral part of British culture. The pubs do not usually have table service.<\/li>\n<li>When seated with a group, one should get the order of everybody so as not to crowd the bar.<\/li>\n<li>When ordering beer, be specific: ale (dark beer), lager (light beer), bitter (light ale), or stout (very dark beer)<\/li>\n<li>Most pubs only take cash for payment. Be ready as you order, but it is frowned upon to wave your bill to call the bartender\u2019s attention.<\/li>\n<li>To give a tip to your server, offer him or her a drink. It will be added to your tab. If a tip jar is existent, monetary tips are welcome as well.<\/li>\n<li>If someone buys you or your table a round, it is customary for the next round to be on you.<\/li>\n<li>One bell from the bar means the last order. Complementing the pastries are clotted cream and fruit jams, amongst others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The birth of afternoon tea happened in the year 1840 when Anna Russell, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, would request snacks between lunch and dinner. Now, the race is held annually sometime during the Easter vacation on the River Thames in southwest London.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The racecourse is known as the <strong>Championship Course<\/strong>. It is almost 7 kilometres long and is located between Putney and Mortlake.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"7-the-queen-or-kings-speech\"><strong>7. The Queen or King\u2019s Speech\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Queen or King\u2019s Speech, or in a lengthier title the \u201c<strong><em>Speech from the Throne<\/em><\/strong>\u201c, is a speech made by the reigning monarch at the state opening of the Parliament. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here, the queen addresses the legislature and discusses the government\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The speech is usually penned by the monarch\u2019s advisors, with the Monarch having the final decision on its contents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There have been instances when the Queen or King will not be able to deliver her speech for some reason.
