\u201cMono No Aware\u201d and \u201cLimlim\u201d emerged as the top winners at the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival Awards Night<\/strong>, taking home the highest honors in the full-length and student short film categories, respectively.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s awards recognized standout performances, filmmaking, and storytelling from entries across the festival, with the Japan-set drama\u00a0\u201cMono No Aware\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0dominating the full-length category with a total of nine awards.<\/p>\n

\"\u201cMono<\/figure>\n

\u201cMono No Aware\u201d Wins Nine Awards<\/h2>\n

Directed by\u00a0BC Amparado<\/strong>, \u201cMono No Aware\u201d received\u00a0Pinakapanalong Pelikula<\/strong>, the festival\u2019s top prize for a full-length film. It also won\u00a0Panalo sa International Jury<\/strong>, while Amparado was named\u00a0Panalong Direktor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The film\u2019s cast also earned major acting honors.\u00a0Juan Karlos Labajo<\/strong>\u00a0received the\u00a0Panalong Aktor<\/strong>\u00a0award, while\u00a0Momoko Kobayashi<\/strong>\u00a0won\u00a0Panalong Pangalawang Aktres<\/strong>. The cast was also recognized with the\u00a0Best Ensemble<\/strong>award.<\/p>\n

\u201cMono No Aware\u201d likewise earned several technical awards, including\u00a0Panalo sa Cinematography<\/strong>\u00a0for TM Malones,\u00a0Panalo sa Editing<\/strong>\u00a0for Edmund Telmo, and\u00a0Panalo sa Sound Design<\/strong>\u00a0for Willie Apa Jr.<\/p>\n

With nine trophies by the end of the evening, the film became the most awarded full-length entry of the 2026 festival.<\/p>\n

Other films also enjoyed strong showings during the awards night.<\/p>\n

\u201cApol of my Ai,\u201d \u201cMultwoh (Patay na Patay Sa\u2019yo),\u201d and \u201cPatay Gutom\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0each received four awards, while\u00a0\u201cStuck on You\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0took home two.<\/p>\n

Among the notable acting winners was\u00a0Xyriel Manabat<\/strong>, who received the\u00a0Panalong Aktres<\/strong>\u00a0award for her comedic performance in \u201cStuck on You.\u201d<\/p>\n

Young actor\u00a0Zion Cruz<\/strong>\u00a0of \u201cApol of my Ai\u201d was recognized as\u00a0Panalong Child Performer<\/strong>, while\u00a0Zanjoe Marudo<\/strong>received the\u00a0Panalong Pangalawang Aktor<\/strong>\u00a0award.<\/p>\n

Competition was equally close in the\u00a0student shorts category<\/strong>, particularly between \u201cLimlim\u201d and\u00a0\u201cKun Hain, Bisan Diin.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The two films ended the awards night with\u00a0four awards each<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Highlighting just how close the competition was,\u00a0Samantha Palaje<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Jomarie Corro-Reyes<\/strong>\u00a0shared the\u00a0Panalong Direktor<\/strong>\u00a0award in a tie for their respective films.<\/p>\n

Ultimately,\u00a0\u201cLimlim\u201d received Pinakapanalong Maikling Pelikula<\/strong>, earning the festival\u2019s top honor in the student short film category.<\/p>\n

The 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival Awards Night capped off another year of recognizing emerging and established Filipino filmmakers, actors, and creatives, with \u201cMono No Aware\u201d and \u201cLimlim\u201d standing out as the festival\u2019s top winners.<\/p>\n
