Across the country, thousands of moms, dads, parents, and people are coming together to inspire millions of moms to register, vote, and make their voices heard \u2014 building a stronger, more representative democracy along the way. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Gather some friends and host a Mom the Vote activity \u2014 or two, or three!<\/strong><\/p>\n Your gathering can focus on writing postcards, making sure everyone is registered and has a plan to vote, engaging your networks using our Empower app to do the action of the week, discussing what is on your ballots together so you\u2019re all ready to vote, and more. Most importantly, rally your friends, family, and neighbors to come together in community, celebrate voting, and make our voices heard at the ballot box.<\/p>\n And yes \u2014 you can host more than one gathering! Let\u2019s do this!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Anytime between now and Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n Earlier is powerful. Right now is a critical time for people to check their voter registration status \u2014 and in some states, voters can already start voting early! If you\u2019re using MomsRising postcards, remember that those need to be in the mail by October 21st.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Later is powerful, too! As we get closer to Election Day, you can review what\u2019s on your ballots together so you\u2019re all ready to vote, help everyone make a plan to vote, and take other actions to make sure your friends and family are ready to cast their ballots.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Choose a few activities from the list below \u2014 and have fun! Check the deadlines for registering, for requesting a mail-in ballot, and for voting early for your state using vote411.org\/momsrising<\/a>. Then ask everyone to share this voting information with five moms in their network. Let\u2019s help make sure no one misses an important voting deadline \u2013 and votes early if possible!\u00a0<\/p>\n
Big life changes \u2014 like changing your name, moving to a new city or state, or turning 18 \u2014 can affect your voter registration. With everything families juggle, it\u2019s easy to overlook an update, which makes this a perfect voting-party activity. Ask guests to check their voter registration status, then reach out to three (or more!) moms they know and encourage them to check theirs, too. Studies show that friend-to-friend outreach is among the most powerful ways to inspire people to vote. That\u2019s why we\u2019ve made it SUPER easy to reach out using a new tool called Empower. Making a plan \u2014 whether requesting a mail-in ballot, finding your voting place, or voting early \u2014 can make a big difference in following through. If someone becomes confrontational or aggressive, stay calm, create space, and avoid escalating the interaction.
