A simple mobile camp was set up, around where the Bwindi Gorilla Conservation Centre is today!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-phoenix.adventuretravel.biz\/2026\/09\/dauijlrelpil2q6e367g_2-large.png\" alt=\"\" caption=\"false\" class=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"788\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe building of Bwindi Lodge was part of Volcanoes Safaris vision to become the Great Apes company Africa.<\/p>\n<p>As a charter signatory to the 2005 UN Kinshasa Declaration on protecting great apes, our long-term commitment to gorilla conservation is central to our ethos and vision. The Bwindi Gorilla Conservation Centre is a practical testament to it,\u201d said Praveen Moman, founder of Volcanoes Safaris.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-phoenix.adventuretravel.biz\/2026\/09\/dauik313lfcv4lrmhesg_3-large.png\" alt=\"\" caption=\"false\" class=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"935\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Centre includes space for researchers, lodge guests, schoolchildren, and local people to learn about the work of Gorilla Doctors, CTPH and VSPT.<\/p>\n<p>A further space at Bwindi Bar will focus on training for community members.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-phoenix.adventuretravel.biz\/2026\/09\/dauik9belpinimvvc3hg_4-large.png\" alt=\"\" caption=\"false\" class=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are honoured to have the work of Gorilla Doctors featured at the Bwindi Gorilla Conservation Centre. For forty years we have been keeping eastern gorillas in Uganda, Rwanda, and the DRC healthy with our life-saving veterinary care.
