The difference between a good and a great steering wheel depends on how well it’s built. But you shouldn’t break the bank to find a good steering wheel.

I have used several steering wheels under $200 over the past few years that have shaped me into the gamer I am today.

As a gamer, it’s important to choose a steering wheel that suits you so you feel more immersed and part of the gameplay, which is the most important thing.

Here are my two top picks for whatever circumstance you’re in, based on my review of the best PSVR2 steering wheels available today.

Logitech G29 – Most Suitable Steering Wheel for Beginners

!["Logitech-g29-driving-force-racing-steering-wheel"]("https://www.techieowl.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Logitech-g29-driving-force-racing-steering-wheel-1-300x166.jpeg")

As far as an all-round wheel goes, the G29 from Logitech is your best bet if you’re just starting out in PSVR gaming.

I started out with this wheel, and it has shaped my gaming experience to what it is today. It was reliable and performed as expected.

The modern wheels come with extra jargon that doesn’t really add to the PSVR experience so instead of trying to figure all this stuff out (especially if you don’t know what it means), you should buy a wheel that comes with a simple interface so you can concentrate on your gameplay.

DIWANGUS Steering Wheel Stand is a reliable stand most gamers choose if they don’t have a desk or stand to put the wheel on.

The more expensive Playseat Challenge will give you a more immersive experience, if you want a more premium stand and chair.

!["Thrustmaster-T300S-GT-Edition"]("https://www.techieowl.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Thrustmaster-T300S-GT-Edition-1-1-300x300.jpg")

Thrustmaster t300s GT edition is the best choice if you play games like Gran Turismo 7.

This wheel is specifically designed for VR games and licensed by Gran Turismo.

For more experienced gamers who have been playing PSVR for over a year, this wheel would be more suitable. It is priced in the intermediate range.

Unlike most gaming wheels, the Thrustmaster focuses on simulating real racing rather than gameplay.

Thrustmaster T150 – Budget Steering Wheel with Force Feedback

!["Thrustmaster-T150-PSVR2-steering-wheel"]("https://www.techieowl.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Thrustmaster-T150-PSVR2-steering-wheel-1-1-1-300x203.jpg")

I mentioned above that the Thrustmaster T150 is the cheapest wheel with Force Feedback steering.

These beginner-friendly wheels offer full immersion at a fraction of the cost.

As a lot of users seem to dislike the pedals that come with these, you may want to purchase the T-CLM pedals as well.

This Thrustmaster would be a great choice if you don’t care about pedals and just care about steering and handling.

There aren’t many wheels that last over 5 years anymore, but you can rest assured that this T150 will outlast all the others.

Thrustmaster TGT2 – Ultimate Racing Wheel for Pro Gamers

!["Thrustmaster-TGTsteering-wheel-for-PSVR"]("https://www.techieowl.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Thrustmaster-TGTsteering-wheel-for-PSVR-1-1-1-300x300.jpg")

The Thrustmaster TGT 2 is the holy grail of steering wheels in the PSVR world. It is suitable for advanced and experienced simulator racing players.

However, this is reflected in the price coming in at $800. As a PSVR player for years, I would say that this is a reasonable price. I currently own one of these and have had no complaints.

The high-quality leather finish on the wheel is one of the main things users notice about the wheel in the PSVR world.

It is the smooth wheel that grips well that makes the difference between a high-quality intense race and a mediocre one.

Hori Racing Wheel Apex is known for its affordability coming in under $200, and some cheaper options under $160 depending on whether you don’t mind it being delivered later.

The Hori uploads high-quality steering without making you feel like you’ve made a big compromise, despite its lower price point.

In the midst of an intense race, you can turn wherever you want with 270 degrees of rotation.

You won’t have to worry about a tedious setup or annoying compatibility restrictions with this one since it’s specially designed for PlayStation.

If you’re planning to play GT7, make sure you have the freedom you expect.

Hori’s comprehensive list of settings can be navigated using all the Dualshock buttons because it is designed for PlayStation.

With a price tag of around $100, the PXN Racing Wheel makes this list due to its affordability.

It won’t compare to something like a Logitech, but it will provide an enjoyable racing experience.

In the future, if you can afford a Logitech or Thrustmaster wheel, then this wheel will suffice, or you can wait until you can afford something more powerful.
