The Family Recipe

Thousands of agents. Four days. One big event filled with even bigger ideas. That’s the not-so-secret Family (Reunion) recipe for Keller Williams’ biggest event of the year.

Family Reunion (FR27) runs Feb. 19–22, 2027, at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Along with an Exhibit Hall full of industry pros and tools and tactical breakouts, FR boasts some of the best speakers around. Topping the lineup with KW co-founder Gary Keller is Texas’ very own bestselling author, TED Talker, podcast host, and keynote speaker, Brené Brown, who will be leaning into leadership and workplace culture. We dare you to lead … the way and be there, but just in case you need more convincing, here’s what you can expect in Space City.

Everything is Bigger in (Houston) Texas

Houston doesn’t do “small”. It’s the fourth-largest city in the country, stitched together from 88 distinct neighborhoods, each with its own personality. It should be quite the case study for a room full of real estate experts.

Discovery Green, an idyllic 12-acre park between the Hilton Americas-Houston and the Marriott Marquis, sits right across the street from the convention center. Step out of a session, and you’re on a lawn. Step off the lawn, and you’re at dinner. And if you want to explore a little further, METRORail connects the convention district to Midtown, the Museum District, the Theater District, and Hermann Park.

![""]("https://outfront.kw.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Discovery-Green-1-1-1024x768.png")

(Net)Work Hard, Play Hard

For those familiar with FR, you know there will be plenty of great opportunities to connect, but we know some of the best ones happen outside the convention center. If you’re looking to switch up the scenery, here are some of Houston’s top spots.

- Discovery Green: Public art, water features, and open lawn, all steps from the George R. Brown. While you’re at it, be sure to grab lunch and a rooftop view of the park at The Grove.

- POST Houston: A former post office turned food hall, music venue, and art space, topped by the state’s largest urban rooftop garden.

- EaDo: Just east of the GRB, East Downtown is packed with street art, converted warehouses, craft breweries, and live music. Need marketing inspiration? The “Houston Is Inspired” mural at 313 Travis St. is the city’s favorite photo op, but EaDo is where the murals really pile up.

Setting the Table

Houston is arguably one of the best food cities in America. Top five according to the Washington Post. But considering that six restaurants hold a Michelin star (in a town that’s already full of signature dishes ranging from barbecue and Tex-Mex to Viet-Cajun crawfish), it’s safe to say that there is something for everyone in H-Town.

- Breakfast/Coffee: Koffeteria is a modern bakery and café from Chef Vanarin Kuch, who blends his Cambodian heritage with his Houston roots. Pastries, comfort food, and an all-around great way to start your morning.

- Lunch: Walk five minutes to Phoenicia Specialty Foods for freshly prepared meals that rotate daily, or sit down at its MKT Bar. For brisket worth the short ride into the East End, try J Bar M BBQ, which smokes its meats in 1,000-gallon offset smokers and consistently earns Texas Monthly nods year after year.

- Dinner: Xochi serves James Beard Award-winning Oaxacan cooking inside the Marriott Marquis. Over in EaDo, Nancy’s Hustle offers Michelin-recognized small plates and a carefully curated wine list. Nearby, James Beard Award-winning Chef Benchawan Jabthong Painter’s Street to Kitchen offers a highly praised menu of bold Thai flavor.

- Late Night: Grab a nightcap next door to Street to Kitchen at CASE Chocolates — billed as the world’s first chocolate and cocktail speakeasy. Or catch a show at 713 Music Hall inside POST.

Plenty of Pastimes

Looking for something to do other than shoot the breeze and talk about real estate? In Space City, the sky isn’t even the limit.

- Space Center Houston: “Houston” was the first word spoken from the moon, making this a pivotal site in history. NASA’s official visitor center is about 25 miles southeast of downtown, and most visits run four to six hours. The payoff is more than 400 artifacts, a tram tour onto the working NASA campus, and a Saturn V rocket (one of only three flight-ready ones left). Fair warning: Someone in your group will make the “problem” joke. Just let them do it.

- Museum District: Nineteen museums across four walkable zones. Consider arriving early on Thursday, as many museums offer free admission — including the Museum of Fine Arts (Texas’ largest art museum). Additionally, the Menil Collection is always free, with more than 20,000 pieces to admire.

- Theater District: Seventeen downtown blocks, home to the Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera, Alley Theatre, and Houston Symphony. Houston is actually one of the few U.S. cities with permanent ballet, symphony, and opera companies. The Hobby Center also brings in big touring musicals if you want to try and sneak in a little (way) Off-Broadway entertainment.

- Toyota Center, Daikin Park & Reliant Stadium: Sadly, it’ll be the off-season for the Astros and the Texans, and the Rockets will be off playing a couple of away games during FR27. But the venues are still worth the trip. The Toyota Center and Daikin Park are just a short walk from the convention center and offer public tours by reservation. Reliant Stadium is a bit further out, but still worth a drive-by if you want a taste of Houston’s sports scene.

You’re Clear for Takeoff

The stage and the table are set for Houston, and registration for Family Reunion 2027 is now open. Book your hotel and grab dinner reservations before 10,000 other hungry agents get the same idea. We sure can’t wait to host you.
