40 days ago, I had an idea to write a lesson a day about some things I’ve learned in my 40 years, here on earth. As I have spent time in reflection, I am grateful for all my seasons because I am a better person for having LIVED! I hope you will find some wisdom in the following list.<\/p>\n

\u200bI look forward to many more years!\u00a0\u00a0Here’s to 40!<\/p>\n

  1. Never take your day for granted. Make it count.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Changing your routine can bring joy.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Hold on to your dreams and don’t let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Having faith and keeping the faith are two different things. One requires intentional work.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Valuing myself and what I have to offer is a part of embracing who God wants me to be.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. I matter.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Sometimes activity can make us feel like we\u2019re making a difference. This isn\u2019t always the case. Synergy is where it\u2019s at.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. There is nothing wrong with regrouping and starting over.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Expect the unexpected with God. He delivers!<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Don\u2019t be afraid to believe. It\u2019s never a waste of time to do so.<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. Be careful not to be in motion but going nowhere. (Double negative intended.)<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Once you find your people, thank God.\u00a0\u00a0They will have your back and hold you up.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  13. Sometimes it takes effort to breathe but you still gotta do it. It\u2019s about survival.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  14. Don\u2019t let your insecurities keep you from sharing who you are with the world! You are a gift!<\/span><\/li>\n
  15. Try to enjoy the good times as much as possible and make good memories.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  16. If there is hope, there is possibility.<\/span><\/li>\n
  17. I can\u2019t be anyone else;\u00a0I can only be me.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  18. Be gracious especially to yourself.<\/span><\/li>\n
  19. Love hard but if\/when you realize the relationship is harmful to you, it\u2019s ok to let go.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  20. Don\u2019t focus on your haters.<\/span><\/li>\n
  21. Support others but don\u2019t forget to invest in your own self.<\/span><\/li>\n
  22. I am worth it.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  23. Go beyond what people say and look at what they do; their actions or non-actions will display their hearts.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  24. When you\u2019ve given friendships all you have and it still fails, walk away knowing that you gave it your all.<\/span><\/li>\n
  25. Writing is just talking on paper. \u201cTalking\u201d is therapeutic.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  26. Stop saving your China for a special occasion. Use them just because.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  27. Greatness isn\u2019t something that happens overnight it\u2019s established through a lifetime of living.<\/span><\/li>\n
  28. Just because you aren\u2019t racing doesn\u2019t mean others aren\u2019t competing with you.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  29. Don\u2019t let fear keep you from adventure. You will miss out on life.<\/span><\/li>\n
  30. Let God write your story.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  31. I may not know everything but that doesn\u2019t mean I should ignore checks in my spirit.<\/span><\/li>\n
  32. Even if I feel lonely, I\u2019m never alone.<\/span><\/li>\n
  33. Imitation isn\u2019t always flattering. Be unique!<\/span><\/li>\n
  34. God is a God of righteousness\u00a0and justice. You can\u2019t take one without the other.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  35. When you \u201cdon\u2019t see color,\u201d you don\u2019t see me.<\/span><\/li>\n
  36. Forgiving may be difficult but forgetting can be even harder.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  37. Life is beautiful whether I believe\/feel it or not.<\/span><\/li>\n
  38. It doesn\u2019t matter how much time has elapsed, true friends can pick up where they left off.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  39. Surround yourself with people who want to see you winning, succeeding, and happy in life.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
