During the final 10 seconds of the ad, white text appears at the bottom of the screen stating, \u201cPaid for by the US government.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ad is just the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/news\/trump-government-funded-ad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest<\/a> taxpayer-funded, explicitly pro-Trump spot that the White House has launched in recent days, prompting alarm from lawmakers and government watchdog organizations who say the administration is using public funds to flood airwaves with the president\u2019s campaign ads shortly before an election.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Watch the newly aired ad:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-x\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The U.S. Government is up on TV with this spot \u2014 <\/p>\n<p>It aired nationally on FOX yesterday during Illinois at #7 Ohio State and also during Fox News Sunday this morning <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/8PP9FPzUZk\">pic.twitter.com\/8PP9FPzUZk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Medium Buying (@MediumBuying) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MediumBuying\/status\/2104217573051060475?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 27, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<aside>\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Richard Painter, who served as the White House\u2019s chief ethics lawyer in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/george-w-bush\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">George W.
