If there is wine that is reminiscent of brioche, with that extended time on lees this is it. Digby Fine English has created this wine for the club.\u00a0The Digby Leander is a very moreish fizz. It is fresh,<strong> <\/strong>lightly ripe strawberry, citrus and cream. There is plenty of fruit. And it is well balanced with fine bubbles and it finishes long and lingering. A fine English fizz that is a richer mouthful. This one hails from Kent, England and uses the traditional Champagne grape varieties. The leading grape is Chardonnay, with nearly a quarter of Pinot Noir with a little addition of Pinot Blanc. The winemakers use the same methods to make this wine as Champagne producers do and the second fermentation to capture those fabulous bubbles happens in the bottle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expect lemon citrus with peach fruit with yeast and a nutty character. It is intense yet it is still has elegant body and proportions. The wine finishes on a spicy lush nougat and spice note with plenty of apple, stone fruit and citrus.
