Pelican Brewing Company<\/a> has opened its newest coastal restaurant in Yachats, Oregon<\/a>, marking the brewery\u2019s sixth location along the Oregon Coast. Located along Highway 101, the new pub brings Pelican\u2019s beer, food, and coastal hospitality to the central coast.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we started Pelican thirty years ago, our goal was to transform food and beverage experiences into lasting memories for our guests,\u201d said Mary Jones, Pelican Brewing Company president and co-founder. \u201cOpening in Yachats is the result of years of hard work, intentional growth, and a deep commitment to our coastal community. We\u2019re honored to step into this special space, earn the trust of our neighbors, and offer a welcoming spot for guests.\u201d<\/p>\n

The property holds personal meaning for Pelican co-founder and vice president Jeff Schons, whose mother lived in Yachats for 15 years. Schons and Jones were regulars at LeRoy\u2019s Blue Whale, which operated at the site for 45 years before becoming the Whale\u2019s Tail Diner \u2014 and now, Pelican\u2019s newest location.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving spent so much time in Yachats with friends and family over the years makes the opening here especially meaningful,\u201d said Schons. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful for the opportunity to be part of this building\u2019s next chapter and to serve more of our coastal neighbors and visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n

The opening comes as Pelican marks its 30th year in business. Founded in Pacific City in 1996, the brewery has built a track record of investing in Oregon\u2019s coastal towns, and the Yachats location introduces a new format for the company: a \u201cneighborhood pub\u201d concept, with a smaller footprint and a more casual dining experience than Pelican\u2019s larger brewpubs.<\/p>\n

The pub is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n
