As I mentioned earlier this week, I am in Provence for a couple of weeks and while we have been bouncing around the region a bit, there has also been plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy this beautiful place. <\/p>\n
While I would not pretend to be \u201ccaught up\u201d I have spent some time trying to get my various in-boxes under control. One of the emails I came across was a notification from Feedspot that they determined that I am one of the top 200 wine bloggers. They notified me several months ago that I am #31 this year (I was #17 a couple of years ago) but they did not provide the criteria or methods employed to rank the various blogs.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nIn yet another email, Feedspot also informed me that I am among the top 40 Champagne boggers (#18, in fact), which is the first time I have ended up on that list (I think) despite the fact that this site is not solely dedicated to one of the world\u2019s greatest wine regions.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nWhile it is always nice to be recognized, I take this with a grain of salt, as Feedspot blatantly states that one can improve one\u2019s ranking with a paid subscription to their site, which would guarantee a top 12 position (which caused me to wonder: what would happen if more than 12 sites decided to pony up and pay?<\/p>\n
Regardless, as I sit here on this glorious Proven\u00e7al morning, the sun feels just a little bit brighter today. I think I will go for a ride\u2026 <\/p>\n
