While Rico is clear about culpability and doesn\u2019t want to harm people he considers mere collateral, his boss has no such scruples and threatens Rico\u2019s girlfriend\u2019s life. What will Rico do?<\/p>\n
What\u2019s it like?<\/h3>\n\n\u201cA job is a job. It\u2019s not who you are.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Black but not bleak. Yes, Rico kills people, but he gives them a chance first. Yes, his girlfriend has her own issues, but she knows her own mind.<\/p>\n
Each of the significant characters has a back story and, ignoring the more outlandish elements (like Rico and Jean fooling around in a car on his boss\u2019 time and with his boss\u2019 \u2018client\u2019 in the front seat!), the plot works well, moving quickly towards Rico\u2019s final decision.<\/p>\n

\u2018Pigeon-blood red\u2019 is an enjoyable, brisk paced noir read that is thrilling without being gory and peopled with interesting characters.<\/p>\n

Black but not bleak. Yes, Rico kills people, but he gives them a chance first. Yes, his girlfriend has her own issues, but she knows her own mind.<\/p>\n
Each of the significant characters has a back story and, ignoring the more outlandish elements (like Rico and Jean fooling around in a car on his boss\u2019 time and with his boss\u2019 \u2018client\u2019 in the front seat!), the plot works well, moving quickly towards Rico\u2019s final decision.<\/p>\n

\u2018Pigeon-blood red\u2019 is an enjoyable, brisk paced noir read that is thrilling without being gory and peopled with interesting characters.<\/p>\n
