The aircraft was flying from Kikwit to Kinshasa when it came down in the southwestern province of Kwango.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reports identified the aircraft as registration 9S-GUC and its destination as Kinshasa\u2019s N\u2019Dolo Airport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kwango Vice Governor Remy Saki Bokinda <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/africa\/congo-military-plane-crash-kills-13-including-three-officers-official-says-2026-09-25\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">told Reuters<\/a> the aircraft developed a technical problem and attempted to land in Kenge before crashing into a residential plot. He said those aboard included General Likulia Bakumi, the Congolese army\u2019s auditor general, along with other military personnel and civilians.<\/p>\n<p>Video posted to social media showed the wreckage of the aircraft buringing on the ground.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\"\/>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local reporting described the aircraft circling above Kenge as the pilot searched for a place to make an emergency landing. No deaths or injuries to people on the ground were reported by authorities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Congolese Press Agency placed the crash in Kenge\u2019s Manzau neighborhood.
