That rate is the number of U.S. members who added a new employer to their profile in the same month the job began, divided by total U.S. membership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Healthcare hiring ticked up 1.2% from July to August, according to LinkedIn. Only education saw a larger annual decline, at 12.4%. Holding companies also fell 12.1%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Across all industries, U.S. hiring rose 1.9% from July to August but was 6.5% lower than in August 2025.
