A Future Screenshot might look like a chat, a map, a headline, or an AI prompt–offering a glimpse of a future that’s probable, possible, or even preposterous.

What we’ll do together

In this initial 2-hour online workshop, we’ll focus primarily on generating and mapping screenshots:

Generate multiple Future Screenshots (hopeful, dreadful, and everything in between)

Map them on the online Futures Cone (from probable to possible to preposterous)

Notice how people react to different futures, and what those reactions reveal

Briefly bridge back to the present (with the possibility of a future follow-up for deeper strategy work

<default:svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="12" height="12" fill="none" viewbox="0 0 12 12">
<default:path fill="#fff" d="M2 0a2 2 0 0 0-2 2v2h1.5V2a.5.5 0 0 1 .5-.5h2V0H2Zm2 10.5H2a.5.5 0 0 1-.5-.5V8H0v2a2 2 0 0 0 2 2h2v-1.5ZM8 12v-1.5h2a.5.5 0 0 0 .5-.5V8H12v2a2 2 0 0 1-2 2H8Zm2-12a2 2 0 0 1 2 2v2h-1.5V2a.5.5 0 0 0-.5-.5H8V0h2Z"/>
</default:svg>

Who is this for?

This is for advocates, artists, organizers, educators, funders, and anyone who wants to practice political imagination, especially if the present can feel like a closed future.

The thousands of Future Screenshots developed so far don’t just tell stories; they serve as landmarks for political imagination.
