The facility also offers diagnostic and imaging capabilities including mammography, ultrasound, CT scanning, bone density testing and standard X-ray.<\/p>\n<p>The emergency department is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians and specialized nurses and operates 24 hours a day. It is a department of Broward Health Medical Center and connects patients with the broader Broward Health system when additional care is needed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to deliver this freestanding emergency department for Broward Health, expanding patient access to high-quality, timely care in a rapidly growing community like Sunrise,\u201d said Frank Longo, Vice President and Account Manager at Skanska, in an emailed press release from Skanska. \u201cMedical facilities like this play a critical role in strengthening healthcare infrastructure, bringing advanced emergency services closer to where people live while helping alleviate pressure on larger hospital campuses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The project also includes spacious family waiting areas, 98 parking spaces and room for future expansion. Broward Health said the facility is intended to provide the same level of around-the-clock emergency care available at its hospital-based emergency departments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Broward Health Sunrise ER reflects our commitment to meeting patients where they are and ensuring they have access to high-quality emergency care when every minute matters,\u201d said Manny Linares, CEO of Broward Health Medical Center. \u201cThis new emergency room not only improves access to care.
