Here\u2019s the latest Columbus restaurant news:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This Saturday, Sept. 12, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bakesbylo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bakes By Lo<\/a> celebrates the grand opening of their new space at 4045 Main St. in Old Hilliard. After six years inside the Center Street Market, they made the move nearby and expanded their space. Read more about the move in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dispatch.com\/story\/entertainment\/dining\/2026\/09\/10\/bakes-by-lo-celebrates-grand-opening-old-hilliard\/91674712007\">my <em>Columbus Monthly <\/em>Food News column<\/a> this week!<\/li>\n<li>This week the gang from <a href=\"https:\/\/columbusfoodletter.substack.com\/p\/chef-jeremy-nelson-opening-canario-in-short-north\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Columbus FoodLetter broke the news<\/a> that chef Jeremy Nelson is opening a new restaurant called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/canarioshortnorth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canario<\/a> at 19 W. Russell St. in the Short North. Nelson has been operating the Umbral Supper Club, where he does specialized coursed dinners. The West Russell space was most recently home to Woodhouse Vegan cafe and <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2022\/12\/09\/park-service-coffee-finds-a-new-home-in-the-short-north\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"39625\">Park Service Coffee<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sitaracolumbus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sitara Fine Indian Cuisine<\/a> announced that it will take over the Indian Oven restaurant space at 427 E. Main St. downtown. Last week Indian Oven announced that they&#8217;ve left their long-time home to move up to Delaware.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jamjam.food\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JamJam Cajun food truck<\/a> announced their first storefront, opening on Sept. 23. They&#8217;ll be making their home at Sweet Harmony Canal, at 30 Liberty St. in Canal Winchester.<\/li>\n<li>Hank\u2019s Low Country Oyster Fest is coming up on Sunday, Sept. 27. The festival is free and open to the public, and features oyster shucking, food and drink specials from <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2024\/04\/25\/hanks-low-country-seafood-raw-bar-columbus\/\">Hank&#8217;s Low County Seafood<\/a>, music, family activities.
