As Bay Brewing Freedom warmed up, the hoppiness began to take over the flavour profile of the beer, with the sweetness being pushed into an after thought and barely noticeable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was expecting a smooth bitterness, and what I got was a short snappy punch that faded to a well-rounded and smooth flavour that had a light backbone of malt sweetness to it. A short snappy hoppy hit of citrus and tropical notes was in the body from start to finish, lingering on into the aftertaste for a fleeting moment.
