text-align: center;\">Just like the bandshell concert on Friday, Saturday started with a concert from friends in the Southfolk tent!\u00a0 The Amadans have played together for 20 years, and two of the members, Barry and Sherri, were part of my ultimate favorite local band, Pigtown Fling Stringband.\u00a0 They are mostly a Celtic band but they have added many bluegrass songs and this is a natural addition since the<a href=\"https:\/\/umgf.com\/what-is-the-connection-with-irish-music-and-bluegr-t131752.html\" target=\"_blank\"> two genres share a history<\/a>.\u00a0 It was truly a great set of music, and here is the full song I recorded:<\/div>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Irish Polka from The Amadans at the Great River Folk Fest\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/222MrBv1bXQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; She is also a multiple-time nominee for Entertainer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year from the ISSA organization.
