These thrift store framed prints got a brand new update with beautiful tissue paper!<\/em><\/p>\n

Hello friends and happy Trashy Treasure Tuesday! I hope you had an amazing weekend. We went to our happy place<\/a> for the long weekend. So relaxing! And so thankful the temps lowered a bit. Made it even more enjoyable.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sharing \u201cbrand new\u201d home decor today for my makeover. Scroll to the bottom to see what my friends are up to this month.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

I found these at the thrift store and loved their shape and<\/em> the fact that they were a set.<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

Not too exciting, and the \u201cartwork\u201d is simply printed paper.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

I started by peeling off the paper backing.<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

Then I pulled it all apart.<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

NEW ARTWORK<\/span><\/p>\n

This is what I decided on for the artwork.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Since this tissue paper is folded, it will have creases. Be sure to iron (or steam) them out before applying them to your project.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

I discarded the old prints and sprayed the cardboard backings white as a backdrop to my \u201cnew art\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

Next, I pulled out my Transfer and Decoupage Gel and applied it to the cardboard.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Once it was dry, I lightly sanded the edges to remove any excess tissue paper.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

SO simple! And isn\u2019t this image just beautiful??<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

FRAMES<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

Since the tissue paper is darker, I chose black frames. Well, Ash, to be exact. It\u2019s more of a soft, muted black, which I thought would be perfect for the new artwork.<\/p>\n

After cleaning them up, I applied one coat of Ultra Grip before painting.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

Once that was done, I cleaned up the glass on both sides\u2026<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

\u2026and put them all back together.<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

Look at that.<\/p>\n

Isn\u2019t that muted, soft black just perfect??<\/p>\n

I just love how these turned out.<\/p>\n

My favorite black shade for furniture.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

It can be black without being so harsh.<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t really have anywhere I could hang them on the wall to style them, so I got Chad (ChatGPT) to whip something up for me.<\/p>\n

For funsies, I have to show you what ole Chad came up with the first time. Haha!! Look at the lower photo covering the wall trim. So ridiculous.lol<\/p>\n

I straightened it out, though. Here you go.<\/p>\n

Isn\u2019t that so pretty?? All the colors in the room blend so perfectly with my new artwork.<\/p>\n
