Did you know? (Junior Posters)

The term “junior poster” originally referred to a 6-sheet billboard—the smallest standard format—measuring 4 feet 4 inches by 9 feet 10 inches. Other now-rare legacy formats included 3-sheets (3×6 feet, often placed outside shops) and 24-sheets, which were once the most common billboard size in the U.S.

    What Is an 8-Sheet Billboard?

Often called **junior posters**, 8-sheet billboards are a compact, cost-effective outdoor advertising option that excels in walkable, urban environments. You’ll typically spot them near:
    Busy intersections

    Restaurants, bars, and retail corridors

    Sidewalls or stand-alone street-level frames

Though smaller than bulletins or spectaculars, 8-sheets punch above their weight when it comes to street-level impact. They’re designed to grab attention from both pedestrians and drivers, especially in areas where foot traffic is dense and messaging needs to land quickly.

    8-sheets are often used to:

Promote concerts, film releases, or local events

Advertise retail sales or product launches

Reinforce brand awareness in key zip codes

These billboards are typically rented on a monthly basis, and many locations now support digital 8-sheet formats for rotating or time-sensitive creative.
