Born in Accra, Ghana, Dr Laylow is an artist, rapper, singer and songwriter whose sound effortlessly blends Afrobeats, hip-hop and melodic rap.

But there is another side to his story that makes his journey even more fascinating: by day, he works as a physician at Yale, while music gives him another canvas to tell stories rooted in emotion, culture and life between Africa and America.

On ‘Follow You’, Dr Laylow channels that storytelling ability into a record centred on commitment and emotional connection.

The song is a gentle reminder that love is not only about the exciting moments, but also about making the conscious decision to stay, support and walk alongside someone through life’s changing seasons.

Wrapped in warm melodies and an inviting Afrobeats-inspired sound, ‘Follow You’ carries an intimacy that makes the message feel personal while remaining relatable.

As a duet, the record creates the feeling of two voices sharing the same emotional journey, giving the song an extra layer of sincerity and warmth.

For an artist balancing two demanding worlds, Dr Laylow continues to prove that passion does not always follow a conventional path.

With music as his mission, he is building a sound that connects his Ghanaian roots, sharp storytelling and melodic instincts.

‘Follow You’ is a heartfelt offering from an artist with plenty to say and an unmistakable rhythm for saying it.
