With Geneva Watch Days 2026 coming to a close, we tasked our editorial team with picking a few of their favorite new releases just in time for a long weekend here in the States. Of course there were a lot of big stories coming out of GWD this year, with the return of Gallet, not to mention the return of the Tudor Northflag as a newly refreshed GMT watch. So, without further ado, let\u2019s see what our editors picked as their favorite releases from Geneva Watch Days 2026.<\/p>\n

\n Danny Milton: Zenith Chronomaster Solo Sport<\/span>
\n<\/h3>\n

My pick is a watch that I was able to get a sneak peek of earlier in the year \u2014 the Zenith Chronomaster Solo Sport<\/a>. On paper it doesn\u2019t exactly seem necessary to create a non-chrono El Primero but there\u2019s something so \u201cmid-century-meets-the-future\u201d about the design on these that it just \u2014 well \u2014 works. The 40mm case, the patterned z-frequency dial, and the bi-directional timing bezel make for a watch that\u2019s both functional and able to really market its bona-fides. Notable that is the high frequency caliber within, the El Primero 3620 with 60 hours of power reserve. If you\u2019ve never held a high frequency Zenith, it\u2019s really a sight to behold. And with color configurations to choose from, this watch speaks to a wide swath of collectors. The price is steep at nearly $10k but Zenith is one of the true known quantities in the space that continues to operate at the high end of industrial watchmaking.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark Bernardo: Bulgari Octo Finissimo Dazzle<\/span><\/h3>\n

Bulgari was one of the relative handful of founding watchmakers of Geneva Watch Days, way back in the COVID-restricted year of 2020, long before it became the major industry event that it is today. So it makes sense that the Italian watchmaker-jeweler often saves some of its most important and buzzworthy watch releases for the late-summer showcase. This year is no exception, with highlights like a new titanium-cased version of the Aluminium (appropriately called the Titanio) and a downright crazy-looking Octo Finissimo Dual Time collaboration with indie watchmaking star Vianney Halter. As impressive and noteworthy as these both are, the Bulgari timepiece I am spotlighting in this list of GWD favorites is the Octo Finissimo Dazzle, a limited edition of 80 pieces that takes the now-familiar aesthetic of the Octo Finissimo to a truly audacious level. Nearly every surface of the timepiece\u2019s sandblasted titanium case, dial, and bracelet is laser-engraved with a fragmented geometrical pattern drawn from the world of automobiles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applied to the bodywork of cars in order to conceal their true silhouettes during road testing, this \u201cautomotive camouflage\u201d on the watch achieves an intriguing optical illusion, obscuring its edges and angles and seemingly blending the bracelet and dial into a single intermingled form, separated only by the emblematic octagonal bezel. Two blackened hands display the time on the dial (not all that legibly, if we\u2019re being honest, but that\u2019s not the point here; Bulgari itself describes the watch as \u201cdefying its own legibility\u201d), and the 40mm case boasts the waiflike thinness that defines the model, just 5.15mm high. Bulgari\u2019s in-house BVL 138 caliber beats inside, behind a sapphire caseback. This is not the first Octo Finissimo edition to arise from an \u201cartistic collaboration\u201d \u2014 previous pieces have interpreted the work of Korean minimalist painter Lee Ufan and Japanese architects Kazuyo Sejima and Tadao Ando \u2014 but it might be the boldest one yet from an aesthetic standpoint. Frankly, the only thing I\u2019d change about the watch is its name: \u201cDazzle,\u201d for some reason, puts me in the mind of a high-jewelry watch, which this most emphatically is not.<\/span><\/p>\n

So why choose the Octo Finissimo Dazzle over the other, very worthy new Bulgari releases this year \u2014 not to mention the dozens of possibilities from other exhibiting watchmakers? Perhaps it\u2019s because, for the first time in the Octo Finissimo\u2019s accolade-filled decade-plus of existence, Bulgari has begun to realize that it can be a platform not only for record-breaking thinness and horological boundary-pushing but also for having fun. It feels like Pandora\u2019s box has burst open, and even more creative interpretations could be just around the corner.<\/p>\n

Nathan Schultz: Ming 57.05 Comet<\/span><\/h3>\n

I\u2019ve got a soft spot for watches that offer solutions to things that are barely problems. This fascination likely boils down to the fact that most modern watches, regardless of price, excel at their primary task of keeping good time and being robust enough to withstand everyday wear. And while that doesn’t mean I don\u2019t care about things like accuracy and water resistance, I\u2019ve learned it takes a healthy dose of innovation and creativity to really excite me, especially during a week like this when brands are competing for my attention.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Among the barrage of intriguing releases coming out of Geneva, Ming\u2019s 57.05 Comet takes the cake for offering the coolest solution to the smallest inconvenience, and doing so with style. A worldtimer at its core, the 57.05 Comet has two bezels, one designated for cities that observe daylight savings time, and one for those that don’t. If you find yourself traveling to a city currently observing DST, simply twist the patent pending outer rotating bezel (it will automatically lock into place) to adjust the time by one hour. Could a standard GMT also display the correct time for your city of choice any time of year? Sure, but the 57.05 Comet delivers such a simple solution, a better question is: Why doesn\u2019t every wordtimer do this?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Being a Ming, this party trick is paired with some of the most impressive independent watchmaking currently taking place around $10K, including stepped Art Deco lugs that iterate on one of the brand\u2019s signature design cues, a multilayered dial designed to offer a shifting appearance throughout the day, and a Swiss movement featuring skeletonized bridges and custom finishing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n Erin Wilborn: Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 29mm<\/span>
\n<\/h3>\n

While there were quite a few pieces that really impressed at this year\u2019s show, the piece that (selfishly) most spoke to my own collector tastes was the introduction of Oris\u2019 smallest take on its Big Crown Pointer Date yet (at least, as far as the brand\u2019s contemporary history is concerned). It\u2019s a design staple of the Oris universe, and while I also quite like the 38mm size of the \u201cBull\u2019s Eye\u201d model launched earlier this year, the even more petite 29mm case size is right up my alley. Both the black and salmon dial models are going in the more elegant direction with their rich textural finishing, but there isn\u2019t any blinging out in these models \u2013 which often happens when a classic design is scaled down in the hopes of capturing a more women-leaning consumer base. Instead, the effect is pleasantly neutral. And, thankfully, they haven\u2019t gone the quartz route either (as is so often the case in downsizing), and each model is powered by the Caliber 534 automatic movement. I think I\u2019m leaning more towards the black dial model at the moment, but I\u2019ll hold off on my final ruling until I\u2019ve gotten some face time with both of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

D.C. Hannay: Breitling Miles Davis Navitimer<\/span><\/h3>\n

No more calls, we have a winner. I can honestly say I haven\u2019t been this <\/span>jazzed<\/span> about a Navitimer since the original Ref. 806 1959 Re-Edition was launched back in 2019, marking the moment I knew how serious Breitling was about their reboot under Georges Kern. I have a lifelong connection to this definitive pilot\u2019s chronograph, the manually-wound 806 Navi, as my father wore his while flying a single-engined Cessna. It\u2019s a watch that sits as the pride of my collection today, and that 1959 Re-Edition came the closest to capturing the feel of the vintage originals. Kern enlisted Breitling super-collector Fred Mandelbaum to make sure it did, who acted as advisor to the brand for the project, and continues to work with Breitling today.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Well, Breitling has topped themselves with this new take on the Mk5 version of the 806<\/a>, and it\u2019s as cool as a quiet evening spent with a neat single malt in hand, listening to <\/span>Kind Of Blue<\/span> on vinyl (or <\/span>Ascenseur Pour L’echafaud<\/span>, if you\u2019re a real connoisseur). The new Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 \u201cMiles Davis\u201d edition really knocks it out of the park, with an era-correct interpretation of the mid-\u201960s 806 famously worn by the jazz icon. With this newest iteration, the dial sees the biggest change, with silver reverse panda subregisters mated to the distinctive \u201cTwin Jet\u201d logo that supplanted the wings of earlier Navitimers. This particular combination of aesthetics is closely aligned with my own Navi, so it\u2019s not surprising how much I love it. The newest version of this classic chronograph makes use of the COSC-certified manual Calibre B09, visible through the display caseback, where you\u2019ll also find a subtle nod to Davis engraved in the stainless surround.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"geneva<\/div>\n

Built in a limited edition of 500, I predict that this tribute won\u2019t hang around for long, considering this is one of the most gorgeous executions of the vintage Navitimer look that I\u2019ve ever seen. Especially well-heeled collectors can opt for the limited-to-50 set that includes versions in steel, yellow gold, and platinum, the last with a handsome blue dial. While the retail of (gulp) $96,400 for the three watches is considerable, it does include a special trumpet case-shaped collector\u2019s box, along with a lifetime membership at Breitling\u2019s soon-to-open Social Club in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. For the rest of us, the steel version comes with a two year membership. But honestly, this watch is enough on its own, especially paired with the retro-tastic steel cuff bracelet known as the \u201cAir Racer\u201d. It\u2019ll take a special kind of swagger to pull off this look, a self-assuredness usually reserved for military test pilots and bebop legends, but since I already wear my own Navi on a leather bund strap, I\u2019m feeling pretty confident. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n Jonathan McWhorter: Doxa Sub 300 Ti5<\/span>
\n<\/h3>\n

My favorite watch from this year\u2019s Geneva Watch Days is a pretty straightforward choice: the Doxa Sub 300 Ti5. This year, Doxa has taken a tried, true, and familiar formula and given it a tweak that feels like it should have always been this way. The Sub 300 is the watch that comes to mind when one mentions the name Doxa, and up until this point has only been available in stainless steel. Now, the classic dive watch from the classic dive watch brand has been reworked in a modern format of Grade 5 Titanium, opening up options for collectors who want the classic look but don\u2019t want the heft of steel.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Inside is a reliable COSC-Certified Sellita SW200-1 movement, which certainly helps justify the premium over the classic steel version. Also, buyers have the choice of 7 dial + strap combinations (Ti buckle included) to get the specification just right, with the Whitepearl variant giving the option of a fully luminous dial. This isn\u2019t a limited edition, either. Titanium is here to stay as a part of the core collection, and I\u2019m sure we\u2019ll see more Ti variants of other Doxa models in the future. <\/span><\/p>\n

Bilal Khan: Bulgari Octo Finissimo Dual Time x Vianney Halter<\/h3>\n

Talk about a collaboration I didn\u2019t see coming. The new Bulgari Octo Finissimo Dual Time x Vianney Halter is a fantastic fusion of two very distinct designs that have no business looking this good together. For those not familiar with Vianney Halter, he is one of the most creative and lauded independent watchmakers and is known for his offbeat, almost steampunk design language. In 1998 Halter released the Perpetual Antiqua which serves as much of the visual inspiration we see in this Octo Finissimo with its porthole-style apertures. Sure, it\u2019s a little thick for an Octo Finissimo at 9.7mm but, frankly, I personally couldn\u2019t care less because this is such a special piece otherwise. The low production numbers and price speak to that as well with the titanium version limited to 30 pieces at $80,000 and the rose gold version limited to 15 pieces at $123,000.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
