As of Tuesday, October 21, 2025<\/strong>, the Dollar to Naira exchange rate<\/strong> in the black market (Aboki FX)<\/strong> has been confirmed by Bureau De Change operators in Lagos, showing the Dollar selling as high as \u20a61,500<\/strong> and buying at \u20a61,480<\/strong>. Meanwhile, the official CBN rate<\/strong> remains within the range of \u20a61,464 to \u20a61,470 per $1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The exchange rate between the US Dollar and the Nigerian Naira<\/strong> has continued to fluctuate across different markets, with the black market (parallel market)<\/strong> rate showing a slight variation compared to the official window.<\/p>\n

According to information obtained from Bureau De Change (BDC)<\/strong> operators in Lagos<\/strong> on Monday, October 20, 2025<\/strong>, the Dollar to Naira<\/strong> exchange rate at the black market<\/strong> stands as follows:<\/p>\n

    This means that those who wish to sell dollars<\/strong> will receive \u20a61,480, while those looking to buy dollars<\/strong> from parallel market dealers will pay around \u20a61,500.<\/p>\n

    In contrast, at the official Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)<\/strong> rate, the Dollar traded between \u20a61,464 and \u20a61,470 per $1<\/strong>, reflecting a more controlled valuation.<\/p>\n

    It is important to note that the CBN does not officially recognize the black market<\/strong>, commonly referred to as the Aboki FX rate<\/strong>, for foreign exchange transactions.
