The wildest part about surviving domestic abuse is how often you realize people would’ve rather seen you die or suffer so they can fake mourn your death when you’re gone or feel better about their miserable lives.

When a survivor finds freedom the most dangerous people around him/her are the people and systems put in places to gaslight and invalidate their suffering and make them feel guilty for finding their voice again.

If you have ever been abused DON’T EVER ALLOW someone who hasn’t walked in your shoes try to make you feel undeserving of the happiness and peace you find when you leave your abuser.

It can be family abuse, relational abuse, job abuse, etc. abuse is abuse and the day you decide to choose yourself will be THE BEST DECISION you ever make! God did not send us here to suffer at the hands of the unholy! REMEMBER THAT!

If you’re a survivor you are not alone! Speak your truth!
