This Month\u2019s Recipe Challenge<\/h2>\n

Summer is winding down, and everyone\u2019s back to school or work. With the fall transition upon us, Tonpeiyaki<\/a> <\/strong>(\u3068\u3093\u5e73\u713c\u304d) is the perfect recipe for this month\u2019s JOC Cooking Challenge!<\/p>\n

This Osaka-style silky omelette is a winner when it comes to weeknight dinners. It\u2019s nourishing, comforting, and on the table in 20 minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Inside, it\u2019s filled with saut\u00e9ed pork belly and tender shredded cabbage. To finish, I top it with the authentic flavors of Osaka:<\/strong> Okonomi sauce, Japanese mayonnaise, and aonori<\/em>\u00a0(green seaweed).<\/p>\n
