We\u2019re always excited about the\u00a0Fall Music Preview,\u00a0<\/em>as many of us are summer people, yet it reminds us that there\u2019s still plenty to look forward to. \u00a0For now, it may still be warm, but pumpkin lattes and jack-o-lanterns are right around the corner. \u00a0As the night continues to encroach and the leaves begin to turn, these are the albums that will accompany the transition. \u00a0We wish all of our readers an amazing autumn!<\/p>\n Our cover image comes from Seulement la Nuit\u2019s Landscapes, covered below.<\/em><\/p>\n Fohn<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0Porcelain<\/a><\/strong><\/em> is filled with field recordings and tape crackle, which surround tender ivory melodies, specifically designed to imitate a late summer\u2019s day. Conversation unfolds as a lawnmower kicks into gear; someone is still working! (Odda, September 11). \u00a0Ned Milligan<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0Real Fun\u00a0<\/em>is a family affair, reflecting the joys of fatherhood via little moments: a bout of laughter, a downpour, a walk in the field. \u00a0Lake Mary, M Sage and others make guest appearances (Florabelle<\/a><\/strong>, September 18). <\/a>William Basinski <\/strong>returns with a spacious, single track piano album, inspired by past-life regression hypnotherapy. \u00a0Passing the Cup of Sorrows<\/a><\/strong><\/em> is slow and thoughtful, making a perfect accompaniment to meditation (Temporary Residence Ltd., October 23). \u00a0Happy 10th anniversary to Slovakia\u2019s mappa<\/strong> label, which celebrates by releasing a double cassette of 57 songs by 51 artists, including Lau Nau, Natalia Beylis, Alexandra Spence, Cheryl E. Leonard and so much more! \u00a0Synthetic Water Music<\/a><\/strong><\/em> is the descendent of 2023\u2019s Synthetic Bird Music<\/em>, and they make a lovely couple (September 10).<\/p>\n
