At $699 with only 8GB of RAM, this machine is definitively <em>not<\/em> marketed to creative professionals. But I know many of you are wondering: can it actually handle Lightroom and Photoshop in a pinch? Could it serve as a reliable, ultra-portable travel backup?<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"345\" src=\"https:\/\/terrywhite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/opening-MBN.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19001\"\/><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-speed-tested\">Speed Tested!<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To find out, I put it through a real-world gauntlet. <strong>I ran 12 side-by-side speed tests<\/strong>, pitting the fanless 8GB Neo directly against my 14\u2033 M4 MacBook Pro.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We look at everything from AI Denoise and Generative Fill to building massive 1:1 preview catalogs.
