This global girl group under NTT Docomo Studio &amp; Live and Sony Music Entertainment Korea debuted last year with their digital single \u201cLucky=One\u201d. The name of this all Japanese group, cosmosy, comes from \u201c<strong>cosmos<\/strong> of <strong>y<\/strong>outh\u201d, alluding to an ever-expanding universe that is an \u201cinfinity of cosmos\u201d and the endless \u201cpossibilities of youth\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"cosmosy on Anime, K-Pop &amp; Gaming: Idol Inspirations at Anime Expo | Dorkaholics\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XWpnqdMX5bU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What made cosmosy dorks growing up?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As expected of pop stars under Sony Music Entertainment Korea, being a fan of K-pop would be a dorky pastime from childhood as Kami\u00f3n shared.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m a huge K-pop fan. Ever since I was little, I\u2019ve listened to it every single day,\u201d Kami\u00f3n said. \u201cI really love it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And sometimes being a dork is about the things we literally consume, as it is with De_Hana and yogurt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m a huge yogurt fan,\u201d De_Hana confessed. \u201cI eat yogurt every day, and I never get tired of it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And for Himesha and A\u2019mei, they were dorks about dance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m a total dance dork. My friend started [dancing] when we were kids, so I started too,\u201d Himesha recalled. \u201cAnd then, I fell in love with dance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m a big dance fan. I\u2019ve loved to dance and music ever since I was a kid,\u201d A\u2019mei said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Musical inspirations for cosmosy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As an idol group, the members of cosmosy were inspired by both idols in Korea as well as music artists from English-speaking countries.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI really love [TWICE]. They made me want to be an idol who could sing and dance well,\u201d Kami\u00f3n stated. \u201cI also really love IZ*ONE. They inspired me a lot in many ways as an idol.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cJustin Bieber inspired me a lot,\u201d De_Hana expressed. \u201cHe\u2019s amazing at expressing emotion through his voice, and he made me love singing even more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEd Sheeran inspires me a lot. I really like his songs, and his voice is so soft,\u201d Himesha shared. \u201cThat\u2019s why I really like his [music].\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI really looked up to BLACKPINK. I loved their performances and music,\u201d A\u2019mei said. \u201cThey inspired me to become an idol.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Anime recommendations from cosmosy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being at Anime Expo 2026, it was only natural to ask the group for current series on their watch list that they recommend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI recommend <em>Demon Slayer<\/em>. It\u2019s emotional and exciting,\u201d Kami\u00f3n shared. \u201cMy favorite character is Mitsuri Kanroji because she\u2019s kind, cute, and sweet, but she\u2019s also really strong when she fights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve been watching <em>Dr. Stone<\/em>,\u201d Himesha added. \u201cThe story and characters are really my type, so I recommend [it].\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cRecently, I watched <em>Hell\u2019s Paradise<\/em>. I loved the story, and I love all the [characters],\u201d A\u2019mei stated. \u201cI really recommend it.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Hell&amp;apos;s Paradise: Meet Alejandro Saab (Gabimaru)\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YboIawWDs00?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI watched <em>Honey Lemon Soda<\/em>. I love school stories and romance stories,\u201d De_Hana said. \u201cI watched the anime, the movie, and even read all of the manga. I really love [it].\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Referencing a past <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jeffbenjamin\/2025\/05\/30\/cosmosy-speak-on-y2k-inspirations-being-6th-generation-k-pop-idols\/\">interview<\/a> regarding her favorite childhood anime, I had to ask De_Hana about her favorite Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy favorite Pok\u00e9mon is Rowlet because he\u2019s so cute,\u201d De_Hana shared before she mimicked his cry which brought the whole room to laughter. \u201cHe goes, \u2018rrr!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Anime cosmosy would pair their songs with<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wanting to further the conversation around anime but also tie in the group\u2019s music, they were each asked to name an anime series they would like to see their songs featured in.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think \u201cLucky=One\u201d would be [for] the anime called <em>Frieren<\/em>,\u201d Himesha stated. \u201cThe vibe really matches [well].\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"[Official M\/V] cosmosy &quot;Lucky=One&quot;\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gFr4TyKsZwM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kami\u00f3n looked to the classic anime series <em>Neon Genesis Evangelion<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019d love \u201czigy=zigy\u201d to be an opening for <em>Evangelion<\/em>,\u201d Kami\u00f3n said. \u201cI like <em>Evangelion<\/em> too, and [the song] fits the world well.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"[Official M\/V] cosmosy &quot;zigy=zigy&quot;\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-Vma8NU8cds?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A\u2019mei identified supernatural series such as <em>Toliet-Bound Hanako-kun<\/em> and <em>Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think <em>Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun<\/em> and <em>Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em> because <em>Hanako-kun<\/em> has yokai, which matches our yokai concept and <em>Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em> has a dark and unique concept,\u201d A\u2019mei shared. \u201cI think \u201cSilence ~ body &amp; soul ~\u201d suits those anime.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"[Official M\/V] cosmosy &amp;apos;Silence ~ body &amp; soul ~&amp;apos;\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2mUjLyyZOW0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For De_Hana, she chose the <em>Pretty Cure<\/em> anime franchise that features girls magically transforming into warriors to fight evil and save the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019d choose <em>Pretty Cure<\/em>. I think \u201cParadise ~ I need you ~\u201d would fit really well as an opening because they both have a girls-warrior concept,\u201d De_Hana stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"[Official M\/V] cosmosy \u2018Paradise ~ I need you ~\u2019\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AtA2V44z0nU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Favorite parts of the \u2018Paradise ~ I need you ~\u2019 music video<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their song \u2018Paradise ~ I need you ~\u2019 is their recent single, which also had a music video release. The group was asked about their favorite parts of the music video which they hope fans will enjoy as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen we buy a prism ring, each member has a different item. I hope [everyone] checks each member\u2019s item,\u201d De_Hana said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A\u2019mei\u2019s favorite was the acting from all the members, especially their faces as they play spirits from Japanese folklore turned human.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy favorite part is every member\u2019s acting because we play yokai who have become human,\u201d A\u2019mei explained. \u201cWe hope our fans pay attention [to] our facial expressions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Kami\u00f3n and Himesha, they both highlight A\u2019mei as their favorite parts of the music video.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy favorite scene is when A\u2019mei runs from [the] yokai world back to the [real] world,\u201d Kami\u00f3n highlighed. \u201cThat scene is so beautiful, and A\u2019mei\u2019s running is amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn the music video, A\u2019mei goes [into] her dream world.
