This is a quick update to let you know what I\u2019ve been up to.<\/p>\n<p>First off, whether you\u2019re a new or longtime reader at Personal Excellence, thank you for being here. Without you, PE wouldn\u2019t exist \u2014 so thank you. You\u2019re the reason why I do what I do.<\/p>\n<p>I know it\u2019s been a while. I\u2019m sorry for the lack of updates for the past 5 years. Some of you emailed me to check if I\u2019m alive and why there haven\u2019t been any updates for a while.<\/p>\n<p>The truth is, it\u2019s been a very difficult past 5 years for me. There have been a series of things that happened, things that crushed me and that I was unable to write about then as I was still working through them (and still am, for some of them).<\/p>\n<p>A quick summary of what has happened on my end (not in chronological order):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I gave birth to <a href=\"https:\/\/personalexcellence.co\/blog\/birth\/\">my daughter<\/a> (she\u2019s now 5!) and stopped working to dedicate myself to full-time motherhood, without family help.<\/li>\n<li>We moved from Singapore to the UK, and had to overcome many challenges, from COVID lockdowns completely disrupting our plans for two years, to getting a job in a foreign land (my husband), to finding accommodation without a job, with a baby in tow.<\/li>\n<li>My mother-in-law <a href=\"https:\/\/personalexcellence.co\/blog\/comfort-dying\/\">became very ill<\/a> and we became deeply involved in her care. She passed away after an 18-month battle.<\/li>\n<li>I became very ill with worsening health issues for the past 10 years, which led me on a long journey to search for answers after mainstream health professionals were unable to give me any. I eventually found out that they are due to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/43ziY4o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">toxic dental work<\/a>, including <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/45RbhIX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">mercury fillings<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/45NUS8i\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a root canal<\/a>, leading to heavy metal poisoning and other issues.<\/li>\n<li>My husband had worsening health issues too, including neurological issues and severe chronic fatigue, that I closely supported him through. We later found out that his issues are due to toxic dental work as well, including mercury fillings.<\/li>\n<li>I faced persistent conflicts in my blood family that I later realized were due to a toxic family-in-law badmouthing everyone and sowing discord in the family.<\/li>\n<li>And then there was COVID, which made everything \u2014 be it raising a baby, caring for the ill, or moving to a new country \u2014 much more difficult than it already was.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Admist these extreme challenges, I had to step back from everything in my life and turn completely inward to be there for my family, to deal with the challenges with my entire being.<\/p>\n<p>From raising a baby to caring for the ill to grieving the loss of a loved one, from tackling my own health issues to supporting my husband through his, and from living in <a href=\"https:\/\/personalexcellence.co\/blog\/uncertainty\/\">constant uncertainty<\/a> (whether due to the pandemic, dealing with unknown health issues, or moving to a new country without a job or contacts), it was an incredibly dark and difficult period in my life.<\/p>\n<p>As my child now starts school and I juggle the duties of motherhood and work, as I work on my own health healing journey, and as my family settles down in the UK (a shoutout to the UK readers!), I\u2019m excited to return to <a href=\"https:\/\/personalexcellence.co\/blog\/my-purpose\/\">my life path and mission<\/a> \u2014 supporting you in your growth.<\/p>\n<p>I appreciate your patience all these years. Please know that for almost every day in the last few years, I\u2019ve constantly thought about you guys, how all of you are doing, and the day I\u2019d finally be back to reconnect with you and let you in on what\u2019s been going on.<\/p>\n<p>I really miss you guys and I hope you are doing well. I know that the world has changed a lot in these past 5 years The online space has changed a lot, with new blogs, new influencers, AI chatbots, etc. Some of you may have moved on to other websites during this time. I hope that now that I\u2019m back, I can continue to support you in your growth \u2014 as I have in the past. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline nostretch noborder alignnone wp-image-38048\" src=\"https:\/\/personalexcellence.co\/files\/emoji-hug.gif\" alt=\"Hug\" width=\"39\" height=\"15\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong>I miss all of you. But I\u2019m back now. And I can\u2019t wait to update you more on what\u2019s been happening.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some quick updates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I recently did a subscriber cleanout as it\u2019s been many years and many emails are either inactive or defunct. Some of your email addresses may have been deleted by mistake. <strong>To ensure that you\u2019re still on my email list, <a href=\"https:\/\/personalexcellence.co\/newsletter\/\">please subscribe here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>I miss connecting with you guys. I briefly considered enabling blog comments, but thought it\u2019s going to result in the same issues of spam and noise <a href=\"https:\/\/personalexcellence.co\/blog\/comments-closed\/\">as before<\/a>. Keeping reader communication via email is the best way to go for now (until I find a better approach), so join my email list so that we can stay connected. <em>(Update March 2025: I just reenabled blog comments as a trial, so let\u2019s see how it goes! Commenting will now be open for 90 days from the date of each post.)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I\u2019m currently updating old content, as well as updating my foundational courses 30DLBL (Live a Better Life in 30 Days) and 30BBM (Be a Better Me in 30 Days), which I\u2019ll share more in time to come.
