{"id":7050463,"date":"2026-08-29T00:44:44","date_gmt":"2026-08-29T00:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/uncategorized\/generosity-the-backdoor-to-abundance\/"},"modified":"2026-08-29T00:44:44","modified_gmt":"2026-08-29T00:44:44","slug":"generosity-the-backdoor-to-abundance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=7050463","title":{"rendered":"Generosity: The Backdoor to Abundance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap intro\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Generosity<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the act of voluntarily giving your time, resources, or kindness \u2013 without expecting a damn thing back for having done so.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most of us only feel generous when we\u2019re in a state of abundance\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Postmates driver mistakenly delivers a double order when you only paid for one, so you generously give the extra food to your neighbor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You just hit the jackpot at The Venetian in Vegas, so you decide to break off a thousand bucks for each of the four friends you came with.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You hit a major sales target in your business or at work, so you buy your wife a new purse and decide to take your family on a nice vacation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All of these are great things to do. But they\u2019re obvious.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let me share a little-known generosity \u201chack\u201d with you that could <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.deanbokhari.com\/go\/club12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">completely change your life<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. And I\u2019m being dead serious.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s great to be generous when you\u2019re in a state of abundance\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But it\u2019s even more important to be generous when you\u2019re in a state of <\/span><b>scarcity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My experience with generosity<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Around 15 years ago, when I was just getting started in the business world, I was as broke as a joke; literally on the brink of bankruptcy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then, one night, on my drive home, I noticed a homeless man on the side of the street.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was a rare night in Southern California\u2014it was raining hard, it was freezing cold, and the wind made every raindrop feel like an icicle being tossed against your face.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As I waited for the traffic light to turn green, I glanced over at the homeless man. He was sitting on a steel bench, with a shopping cart full of random belongings, wearing nothing more than a tattered t-shirt and shorts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I noticed he was trying to wrap himself in a blanket that looked like it was made for a baby.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The guy was shivering, noticeably. I felt bad for him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I thought about how I would\u2019ve helped him if I had the money.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But I didn\u2019t.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, when the light turned green, I drove right past him and continued heading home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As I was about to turn into my apartment complex, it hit me\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A few days earlier, I was reading about how, when you give to others, it comes back to you in buckets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My left turn back home turned into a U-turn back to the homeless guy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was sitting on the same bench, shivering.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All I had was five bucks, a bottled water, and an extra hoodie in the back seat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I came to a stop and gave him all of it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As I handed him the stuff, I said, \u201cWish I could do more, man.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He didn\u2019t even acknowledge what I said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instead, he thanked me profusely for \u201ceverything\u201d over and over again \u2013 as if I had just given him a bag of gold.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I responded with a few pleasantries and then drove off.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As I was driving back home, I noticed how incredible I felt\u2026 I didn\u2019t have much at the time, but I had more than the homeless guy. And I actually <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">did<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> something to help someone who was worse off than I was.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the outside, I was still in a state of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">scarcity<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026 But on the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">inside<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, I felt <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">abundant<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I never told anyone what I did. I just felt grateful about having done it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I had also forgotten about the subtle motive behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deanbokhari.com\/lessons\/your-decisions-determine-your-destiny\/\">my decision<\/a> to help the homeless man: I wanted to get it back somehow in \u201cbuckets.\u201d I wanted God to hook me up with a reward for helping someone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That would\u2019ve been nice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But at that moment, it no longer mattered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I felt good simply because I helped someone who needed it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Less than two weeks later, I made my first big business deal\u2014after a full year of struggling to make a living for myself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And that\u2019s when I realized what I\u2019m about to share with you:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you\u2019re struggling and in a state of scarcity, go find someone who\u2019s worse off than you, and help them somehow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t do it while secretly hoping you\u2019ll get something in return\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do it because helping someone in need helps you shift out of <\/span><b>scarcity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and into <\/span><b>generosity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Which is a gateway to <\/span><b>abundance.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Generosity is the act of voluntarily giving your time, resources, or kindness \u2013 without expecting a damn thing back for having done so.
