Santos and Tielemans both started the season-opening defeat to Hull City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/HP8oxOKXsAAORuR.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Now the focus has shifted to left-back, where <b>Newcastle\u2019s Lewis Hall<\/b> was United\u2019s top target. With the Magpies unwilling to sell \u2014 Hall\u2019s contract runs until 2029 \u2014 United have turned their attention to <b>Seys<\/b>, hoping to negotiate below his reported \u00a330m valuation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>Other Names on United\u2019s Left-Back Shortlist<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Football Insider also names <b>Alejandro Balde<\/b> (Barcelona), <b>David Raum<\/b> (RB Leipzig), and <b>Jorge Salinas<\/b> (Racing Santander) as alternatives United are monitoring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>Why United Need Reinforcements<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>Luke Shaw<\/b> remains first-choice despite persistent fitness concerns, and his form has dipped as he enters the final months of his contract. <b>Patrick Dorgu<\/b>, signed as a long-term successor, has instead been deployed further forward by <b>Michael Carrick<\/b>. <b>Diogo Dalot<\/b> and <b>Noussair Mazraoui<\/b> can cover the position but are natural right-backs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">With the September 1st transfer deadline approaching, all eyes are on whether United can get a deal for Seys \u2014 or one of their other targets \u2014 over the line before the window shuts.
