When Acura unveiled the Nexera earlier this month, the company said the car was nothing more than a design concept. It previews the brand\u2019s future styling language, with the automaker having no real plans to put the car into production. But Acura isn’t totally opposed to the idea. \u00a0<\/p>\n
The Nexera looks like a true sports car, with hidden lighting elements, butterfly doors, carbon fiber, and center-lock wheels\u2014a first for the brand. It has smooth lines and a muscular profile, looking unlike any Acura before it. \u00a0<\/p>\n
We will see the concept\u2019s elements transferred to Acura\u2019s future models, but it might one day become a reality. According to Motor Trend<\/em>, American Honda President and CEO Eiji Fujimara said: \u00a0<\/p>\n ‘I would like to do this car. I would like to do it with an engine, personally, but we will do what the customer wants, if that\u2019s engine or hybrid or EV.’<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Yasutake Tsuchida, the brand\u2019s Acura creative director and vice president of design, was a bit blunt. He said, “Yes,” when asked if he had a vision to make a sports car like the Nexera. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n
