Playson has expanded one of its established slot series with Coin Strike XXL: Multicoin, bringing back the supplier’s MULTICOIN mechanic alongside multipliers of up to x20, four jackpots and two collect-style features.

The mechanic previously appeared in Thunder Coins XXL: Multicoin and now forms the centrepiece of the latest Coin Strike release.

MULTICOIN symbols, identified by a lightning design, activate the MULTICOIN Feature when they land alongside any Coin Symbol. The feature collects the value of every Coin currently in play before applying a multiplier of up to x20 to the accumulated total.

There is also an additional opportunity for the mechanic to activate during the base game. If Coin Symbols land without a MULTICOIN, one can be randomly added to reel two, potentially triggering the MULTICOIN Feature or opening another route into the Bonus Game.

Collect Feature and four jackpots return

Coin Strike XXL: Multicoin also includes the series’ Collect Feature, activated when a Strike Coin lands alongside any Coin Symbol.

Once triggered, the Strike Coin gathers the values of every Coin visible on the reels, including Jackpot Coins. The resulting amount is then added to the current spin’s win during the Main Game or to the Total Win when playing the Bonus Game.

Four jackpots can be awarded through both the MULTICOIN and Collect Features. These range from the Mini jackpot at x15 through to the Grand jackpot at x1,000, with corresponding coloured Jackpot Coins used to trigger each prize.

The Bonus Game can be activated when Coin Symbols land on reels one and three alongside either a Strike Coin or MULTICOIN.

Only Coins, sticky Strike Coins and sticky MULTICOINS appear during the feature, which begins with three respins. Every new symbol that lands resets the number of remaining respins back to three.

When no respins remain, the values collected by all Strike Coins and MULTICOINS are added to the Total Win.

Pile of Gold offers another route to the Bonus Game

Playson has also included its Pile of Gold feature, which can randomly activate whenever a Coin lands during the base game.

When triggered, additional Coins, Strike Coins or MULTICOINS are added to the reels in sufficient numbers to launch the Bonus Game.

Two Bonus Games are also available through the game’s purchase options, while a pair of Extra Bet Features provide further ways to alter the base game.

The first Extra Bet doubles the chance of reaching the Bonus Game. The second guarantees that either a Strike Coin or MULTICOIN Symbol will appear on every spin while tripling the chance of triggering the Bonus Game.

Anton Ivannikov, CPO at Playson, said: “The return of our MULTICOIN mechanic, combined with the XXL format and dual Collect Features, allows us to create a title that feels familiar while offering plenty of new elements for players to discover.

“We are always looking at how we can evolve proven concepts without losing the characteristics that made them successful in the first place, and this latest Coin Strike release is a strong example of that approach. We are confident it will make a valuable addition to our portfolio and resonate across regulated markets worldwide.”

Coin Strike XXL: Multicoin continues Playson’s approach of building new releases around existing game families, combining the familiar Coin Strike format with mechanics introduced elsewhere in its portfolio.
