In fact it felt a bit surreal walking in, having known them only as an online entity for the last 10 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They officially opened their physical doors at <a href=\"https:\/\/share.google\/2SoMnaQGUR3HgpjiM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">355 Crown St, Surry Hills NSW 2010<\/a> in September 2025 \u2013 an absolutely epic milestone!<\/p>\n<figure style=\"--byeb--aspect-ratio:177.78%\" class=\"wp-block-boldblocks-youtube-block\">\n<p><button type=\"button\" class=\"yb-btn-play\"><span class=\"visually-hidden\">Play<\/span><\/button><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In fact they started out in 2015 (back then they were actually named The Wine Gallery!) and I started collaborating with them in 2016 (which means yes there are affiliate links within this post)!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve done a lot with <a href=\"https:\/\/travellingcorkscrew.com.au\/blog\/good-pair-days-wine-club\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"11165\">Good Pair Days<\/a> over the years via the blog alongside being their freelance SEO specialist via <a href=\"https:\/\/grandcrudigital.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grand Cru Digital<\/a> since 2020. Or <a href=\"https:\/\/good-pair-days-au.sjv.io\/qWxY0j\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored\">book online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Top Tip:<\/strong> Don\u2019t skip the $29 Wine Flights and definitely flip the food menu over to use their epic Food &amp; Wine Pairing Guide.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"the-location\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The location<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I literally went straight from Sydney Domestic Airport to Good Pair Days and I was there in less than an hour after my plane touched down!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I simply jumped on the train from the airport to Central Station (3 stops), and then it was about a 10-minute walk (900m approximately) up Foveaux St and you turn left and you\u2019re there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In all honesty, I wasn\u2019t prepared for the Foveaux St hill, but I guess Surry Hills has to get its name from somewhere. However as soon as I strolled in, it had that Good Pair Days vibe all over it \u2013 modern, warm, friendly and playfully minimalist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fit-out is classic Good Pair Days: accessible, fun, and modern. With its warm lighting, light wood accents, and soft curves, the space trades typical wine-world pretension for a genuinely welcoming vibe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Needless to say I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. There were four to choose from:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Crisp &amp; Refreshing Whites (zesty, zingy, palate-cleansing trio)<\/li>\n<li>Textural, Interesting Whites (skins, spice and a little surprise)<\/li>\n<li>Light &amp; Playful Reds (fresh, vibrant and dangerously drinkable)<\/li>\n<li>Fuller, Rounder Reds (velvet, spice and big-hug tannins)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All the wine tasting flights are $29. Yes I am a bit of a wine glass snob, I admit it! The total for the two was $33 and easily enough for me for dinner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yum! I am hanging out for my next trip to Sydney already as I will definitely be hitting up the Good Pair Days wine bar again!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the meantime though, I will just have to reminisce about it every month when my GPD box of wine arrives!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oh and one more thing before I wrap this up \u2013 I have to mention Ella, the venue manager was an absolute pleasure to chat with. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She gave me the full rundown and was only too happy to answer any of my questions.
