The rate is the hotel\u2019s standard flexible rate, you pay the hotel directly at checkout with any card you like, and Hyatt compensates my agency for the booking. There is no fee and no markup.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"does-every-hyatt-participate-in-hyatt-priv\">Does every Hyatt participate in Hyatt Priv\u00e9?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No. Twenty brands take part, and within those brands it is set hotel by hotel, so a Park Hyatt in one city participates while a Regency in another does not. Send me the hotel and I will tell you.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"are-there-minimum-stays\">Are there minimum stays?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Often, yes. Park Hyatt, Miraval, Andaz, and Thompson generally have none, most other brands ask for two nights, and the all-inclusive resorts ask for four. The table above has the full breakdown.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"is-there-a-hyatt-priv-login-for-travelers\">Is there a Hyatt Priv\u00e9 login for travelers?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No. The Priv\u00e9 site is a booking portal for advisors, which is why searching for a login leads back to pages like this one. You access the program two ways: book the Priv\u00e9 rate yourself through my online booking tool, or have me book it for you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ljm-hyattprive-faqcat wp-block-paragraph\">The Upgrade &amp; Benefits<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"when-do-i-find-out-about-my-room-upgrade\">When do I find out about my room upgrade?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within about 24 business hours of booking, from the hotel, and I pass the answer straight to you.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-does-the-property-credit-work\">How does the property credit work?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It applies to incidentals during your stay, such as dining or spa treatments, and the amount is set by each hotel. It does not apply to the room rate, taxes, gratuities, or resort fees.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"can-i-personalize-the-welcome-amenity-or-letter\">Can I personalize the welcome amenity or letter?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. I can suggest an amenity to the hotel, and I can write a personal welcome letter up to five days before check-in that the hotel delivers on my behalf.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ljm-hyattprive-faqcat wp-block-paragraph\">World of Hyatt<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"do-i-earn-world-of-hyatt-points-and-elite-nights-on-a-priv-booking\">Do I earn World of Hyatt points and elite nights on a Priv\u00e9 booking?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. The reservation is treated as a direct Hyatt booking, so points, elite-qualifying nights, and status recognition all apply.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"can-i-book-with-points-and-still-get-priv-benefits\">Can I book with points and still get Priv\u00e9 benefits?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No. Priv\u00e9 books on a paid rate, so a stay on points or a free night certificate cannot carry the benefits. It works the other way as well, in that paying for a Priv\u00e9 stay is what earns you the points and the elite-qualifying nights. When you are deciding whether to redeem or pay for a particular set of dates, send them to me and I will tell you which one comes out ahead.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-am-a-globalist-is-priv-still-worth-it\">I am a Globalist. Is Priv\u00e9 still worth it?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Usually. The two stack, and where they overlap you get the better of the two. Your Globalist breakfast and late checkout run as always, while Priv\u00e9 adds the property credit and an upgrade answer at the time of booking.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"can-priv-be-combined-with-member-rates-or-promotions\">Can Priv\u00e9 be combined with member rates or promotions?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No. It books on the standard flexible rate, so it cannot be layered onto member, AAA, corporate, prepaid, or award rates, or onto another program\u2019s benefits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ljm-hyattprive-faqcat wp-block-paragraph\">Comparisons<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"should-i-book-virtuoso-or-hyatt-priv\">Should I book Virtuoso or Hyatt Priv\u00e9?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At a Hyatt, book Priv\u00e9. The two benefit lists look almost identical on screen, which is why this question comes up so often, and I see people pick Virtuoso or another program\u2019s rate in my booking tool by accident all the time. Priv\u00e9 is Hyatt\u2019s own VIP program, so it takes priority at the property, and the room upgrade is answered when you book. If you have already booked a Hyatt on another program\u2019s rate, send it over and I will move it.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-does-hyatt-priv-compare-to-amex-fine-hotels-resorts-or-booking-direct\">How does Hyatt Priv\u00e9 compare to Amex Fine Hotels &amp; Resorts or booking direct?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the comparison I walk clients through. I will tell you when that is the case.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"ljm-hyattprive-faqcat wp-block-paragraph\">Booking Process<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"do-i-need-a-hyatt-priv-agent-to-book-the-priv-rate\">Do I need a Hyatt Priv\u00e9 agent to book the Priv\u00e9 rate?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. Hyatt Priv\u00e9 rates are booked by advisors in the program, so the reservation has to come through one of us. You will not find one on hyatt.com or at the front desk. My booking tool books under my agency, so a reservation you make there still comes through me. The only choice is whether you do it yourself or send me your dates.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"can-i-book-the-priv-rate-myself\">Can I book the Priv\u00e9 rate myself?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. My online booking tool shows Hyatt Priv\u00e9 rates alongside the standard ones. Request the password, which arrives immediately by email, then book the Priv\u00e9 rate and the benefits attach automatically.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-do-i-book-with-you\">How do I book with you?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Send your dates, your party, and the hotel through <a href=\"https:\/\/lajollamom.com\/exclusive-luxury-hotel-amenities\/\" data-lasso-id=\"505978\">my request page<\/a>, or reply to any email from me. Your confirmation comes from Hyatt, with my agency attached to the reservation.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-if-i-already-have-a-hyatt-reservation\">What if I already have a Hyatt reservation?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forward it to me. A refundable booking can usually be rebooked on the Priv\u00e9 rate with the benefits attached, though a prepaid or discounted rate sometimes makes the switch a bad trade.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"can-you-request-connecting-rooms-or-a-specific-room\">Can you request connecting rooms or a specific room?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. Connecting-room requests get the same 24-hour answer from the hotel, and room or floor preferences travel with the reservation for me to follow up with my contacts at the property.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ljm-hyattprive-faqcat wp-block-paragraph\">Choosing a Hotel<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"which-hyatt-should-i-choose\">Which Hyatt should I choose?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Start with my reviews above if San Diego, Maui, or New York is on the map. Otherwise, tell me the trip. A Park Hyatt and a Standard are both Priv\u00e9 hotels and almost nothing alike, so the useful conversation is about who is traveling with you.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"is-it-better-to-book-direct-or-through-you\">Is it better to book direct or through you?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The real question is whether you want breakfast, the credit, and an early upgrade answer attached to it.
