Growing up on an island feels like a little blessing. I was lucky to grow up surrounded by the sea, where fresh-caught fish and seafood were always within reach. From simple family meals to special dishes prepared for celebrations, seafood has always been part of our table and a big part of my childhood memories.<\/p>\n
One of the dishes that brings back those island memories is Crab Relleno. There\u2019s something extra special about using freshly caught crabs, taking the meat out, preparing a flavorful filling, and stuffing it back into the shell.<\/p>\n
It may take a little extra time and effort to prepare, but for me, Crab Relleno is more than just a delicious Filipino dish\u2014it\u2019s a taste of home, island life, and the simple joy of growing up with fresh seafood right from the sea.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a homemade Crab Relleno Recipe made with fresh crab meat that is savory<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n How to Cook:<\/strong><\/p>\n Clean the cooked crab shells and set them aside. Carefully check the crab meat and remove any remaining shell pieces or cartilage.<\/p>\n In a pan, heat butter or cooking oil over medium heat. Suate the garlic and onion until fragrant and becomes soft.<\/p>\n Add the crab meat, grated carrots then season with soy sauce, black pepper and salt. Mix gently cook for about 2 \u2013 3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool.<\/p>\n Add the egg and breadcrumbs to the crab mixture, mixed again gently until all the ingredients are well combined.<\/p>\n Using a spoon, stuff the crab shells with the prepared mixture. Press the filling gently into the shell so it stick together while cooking.<\/p>\n Heat the cooking oil in a pan. Place the stuffed side down and fry until golden brown.<\/p>\n Serve with steamed rice.<\/p>\n Enjoy!<\/p>\n Crab Relleno may require a little extra preparation, but the final dish is flavorful, comforting, and perfect for sharing.
