On April 15, 2026, the company priced its IPO at $27.00 per share, the high end of its expected range, and sold 82,692,308 shares of Class A common stock. Trading began on the New York Stock Exchange on April 16, 2026, and the stock closed its first day at $31.75, a gain of nearly 18% from the offering price.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The offering raised roughly $2.23 billion in gross proceeds, making it the largest US industrial IPO since United Parcel Service went public in 1999. The par value of the Class A common stock is $0.0000001 per share, which is extremely small, so nearly all of the proceeds of the offering are recorded as additional paid-in capital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a corporation issues stock in an IPO, the company records cash received equal to the issue price times the number of shares sold.
