Please allow me to introduce you to my SELF. Yes, my SELF!

Not the usual “myself” you’ve come to know. I’m talking about something deeper, grander, and profoundly alive, an internal force that occupies this body (my vehicle) and governs it from within.

You may be wondering, What are you talking about, Dr. Abe? Allow me to explain.

During my work on the Compassionate Leadership Model and Pyramid, something remarkable kept surfacing: Self-compassion, self-awareness, self-control, self-reliance… Each insight whispered the same truth, there’s a dynamic SELF within me, begging to be seen, understood, and honored after centuries of dismissal and misunderstanding.

Dear friends, many brilliant minds have tried to name its functions, but missed its essence. Why? Because the tools they used were not designed to detect it. By sheer chance or divine design, it revealed itself to me. (No, no, I’m not losing it yet. Smile with me and hear the rest).

We are born with senses, sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell, placed in us by our Creator to navigate this world. But I believe there’s more. Just as we process thousands of colors, sounds, and scents, this SELF within us can project thousands of roles, each with its own purpose, character, and strength. These are not random shifts. They rotate with reason, guided by an intelligent orchestrator, core self, that I named, Nafsieu (see SRM visual).

I’ve spent years developing and refining what I now call the Self-Rotating System, a framework that maps how the SELF activates, rotates, moves, responds, and adapts. The more I engaged with it, the more it responded. What began as a subtle presence evolved into a full conversation, one I’ve now had for over five years.

And here’s what I’ve learned:

When you say, “I don’t feel like myself today,” or others advise you “to calm yourself,” you’re not imagining things. That’s your SELF speaking to you. It is a sign of its independent presence. It’s alive within you, waiting, just like Aladdin’s genie, for your command. The more aware you become of its power, the more aligned and elevated your life can become.

This is a different perspective on viewing the self.
